Right, Mark, and the help should be done as soon as possible i think, as it's from "Last edit: 23 Feb 2004" - and called in Menu - Help - "Full Guide", whereas it's not complete, look "The Log to be done", "Realm to be done" :)
documentation is not complete even for version 1.
there is a sticky topic on this forum asking people to help me writing documentation.
sadly no one had the time for it and i'm doing the job alone, that's why documentation is not complete.

Ciao Rejetto,
i could write you a german and french documentation - if somebody writes an english one. And i always wait helping to create a "HFS language pack" also called "Translation file" as i offered you on 2006-03-30:

Quote
A language pack is also called "Translation file" and is a small language dictionary file for a program to be introduced which enables the program to show its interface in foreign language words instead of those in english.
Those language-packs are normally written by users of that program.
For further informations please refer to http://www.bitwiseim.com/transinstr.php for example.
Another example is http://www.winamp.com/plugins/browse.php?search=yes&filter=C&query=language : all these language-packs have been written by winamp-users.
Or Spybot - Search & Destroy: http://www.safer-networking.org .
Almost http://izarc.de.vu > Download > below: Download-Seiten des Entwicklers > Multilanguage Support > Translate IZArc in your language > If you want to translate IZArc in your language, you have to do a few simple things: .........
THERE you have an example how to do it. Imagine: HFS in 53 languages :)
The advantage: a french user who is competent in french and english can translate the language dictionary file in french for users who do not understand english. So they can use the program with a french interface.
Those language dictionary files can be downloaded for great programs on their internet-sites.
I hope to do it soon. Translation is my profession. :)

OK, Rejetto, we will do so then. I will translate you the "HFS - Full Guide": "A guide to HFS" as well as the "Language pack", also called "Translation file" into german and french as soon as you have written them in english.
In the future then, there would be a new button in the menu called "Language", maybe before ON/OFF, between ON/OFF and MENU, in the Menu or behind.
Or, we would have different hfs.exe, such as an english hfs2.0en.exe, a french one hfs2.0fr.exe, and the german hfs2.0de.exe, everyone with its own "HFS - Full Guide": "A guide to HFS", "HFS - Guide Complet": "Un guide pour HFS", "HFS - Vollständige Anleitung": "Eine Anleitung zu HFS".
Would be nice to have also an italian hfs2.0it.exe - as i know some italian friends who do not feel firm in english and would like to use HFS.
I will install Borland Delphi 6 Personal (CD).zip now (60102 kb). Got a key from http://www.borland.com/downloads/download_delphi.html , Personal, platform Windows, version 6, release date 06/01/2002. Should match i think.
A piu tarde,
Yves

about the guide, since we started few days ago with english guide, maybe it is a good idea to wait a month before you translate. several pages will be edited and improved in the while.

if you install it only to translate HFS, my advice is to not do it.
in the near future i hope to have a version of HFS that you can translate just using a resource editor.
about external language files, maybe in the future, can't promise.

Yes Rejetto i agree, i saw this on that wiki-site, and i thought it would be better to wait some time as there would be, i suppose, many changes in translation, as the guide-text to translate would change all the time.

Borland Delphi 6 Personal is installed and registered now, well working. I'm looking now how the compiling-function is working.

Super! HFS will soon also be in portugese! http://www.ipanema.com/rio/basics/e/language.htm : "Although Brazil is surrounded by Spanish-speaking countries, the language here is Portuguese. Your Spanish will help a lot, though. Most Cariocas http://www.ipanema.com/rio/basics/e/people.htm#people understand it, if spoken slowly." So then also spanish people should understand portugese.
I knew it, HFS gets more important. :)

hi iron :)
i'd like to see HFS 3, but i also like well done things.
i now want HFS 2 to have all things it deserves, so spending my time on documentation, submitting to software websites, and other things long to say: i will do a usability study on HFS 2. it is my thesis.
just wait and see
