inside the hfs (the main hfs windows, not the page generated :-p )
on the right part of the window, THE LOG WINDOW
do right click and then hit "clear"

In version 088 this clears only the log entries, but number of downloads stay same.

That was changed in build 088.  Go to Menu -> Virtual File System -> and select either Reset File Hits or Reset Totals. (not sure which is the correct one to reset only the tray icon counter as I didn't try it).

If rejetto reads this thread, maybe he could "move" the "correct" reset tray counter function (hits or totals) to -> Menu -> Tray Icons which I think is a better Menu location for that.

This will reset totals. (It will reset only the number of the downloads in the tray icon without %total-in% and %total-out% statistics).

reset Totals did what I was searching for!
thanks

@rejetto Please return the option when we clear the log hfs automatically to clear the number of downloads in the tray icon. It is very uncomfortable to use Reset Totals in Virtual File System.

sorry, though you may get used to it, i find it to be illogical for new users. i tried to make more specific commands, so you may know what happens when you click. if you have opinions on this, feel free to express them.

now it's 3 clicks instead of 2, it's not hell on earth. :)
how often do you do it?

My hfs server is running 24/7 and i only look at hfs if the trayicon has a downloadnumber.
Then i open hfs and view my logscreen.
After that i did a reset in the logscreen ( with the older version) and my logscreen AND my icon was reset.
For me that is logical , and do not watch hfs anymore ..... until the  icon changes again.
Even with my experience with hfs i never would have found that reset option at "virtual filesystem" .
So i think less experienced (new) users will not find it also..
I prefer the old way , but now i know the trick to reset.

Mr Rejetto : respect for your fine server and forum...

Greetings
Raymond

sorry , above message was mine  :D

What i like is that the screen can be cleared , but the counter stays and counts further.
Maybe an extra option with the logscreen is an good option. what i mean is :
not just "clear" but also "clear Logscreen and reset trayicon" with the rightmouse menu on the logscreen.

byebye  ;)
