I was able to find the address to get to the main page , but  unable to get past that page as it asks for a password.

Kinda confused on why this posting was started asking if anyone would be interested in the template, if it isn't going to shared.

I see no address listed in this posting.  I have checked the screenshots and also find no address listed that I could go to to get the template.

I tried to download the new version from here but the page is not coming up.  I would be interested in testing the new version.

HFS ~ HTTP File Server / Exact url for hfs on my computer

You will need to forward the port that HFS is using to the computer it is on in the router.  This explained in the FAQs page

HFS ~ HTTP File Server / 1.6 comin...
« on: April 11, 2004, 07:00:01 PM »
I tried to create a new VFS file and was able to get a little further.

After creating the new VFS file I added a share as virtual and one as real.
The share that was added was the first share and not any folders within the share.  The virtual share works but it still shows the share name first

ie.  I have a computer named Tiger and I shared my C: drive  as C and my D: drive as D

I add the C drive  as a real folder and the D drive as a virtual.

In both cases I see the share listed in HFS.  If I click on C (real), I should see the folders under C but what I get is another folder "C".  If I click on the second C nothing happens.  If I click on the D (virtual), I get another folder for D and if I click on that I get the folders under it.

I am also able to share a folder under C as a real folder and that works.

Hope this provided you with more information.

Here is link that you check to see the differences

HFS ~ HTTP File Server / multiupload

I see that you might add this feature in the next version

Is there a way to add a field on the form to upload an entire directory also?

HFS ~ HTTP File Server / 1.6 comin...
« on: April 07, 2004, 10:13:39 PM »
I have tried it both on Windows 2000 and XP.

I open up my network places through explorer and drag a shared folder (not a mapped drive) from another computer on the network into HFS.  I have tried to set it to be virtual and to be real and it shows in HFS fine.

When I open the page, the share shows up but when I click on the link is shows another folder below with the folder name again.  If I click on that link, nothing happens.

Suicide, I understand that it might work perfect for you but there is still an issue for some of us.  Whether you think my issue is stupid, I don't.

Sorry, but I am still not able to access any current network shares in the VFS.  I tried to delete the share and readd it but now I am not able to add any shares to HFS

When loading a new drive letter into HFS and going to the root of HFS, the drive letters are not showing up. If you enter them into the address, the content shows up

Any reason why a new drive letter isn't showing up in HFS.

I add 3 new drive letters, 2 being local drives and 1 being a network mapped drive.  One odf teh local drives (C:) is shoing up but the other 2 are not.  I i type in teh address of the drives in the address bar, i get the content.
