Hi, excellent program, but now, more exactly today dawned with the problems it gives me error Bitdefender Trojan.generic KD.24689 XP OS on my 2007, I went to another OS XP and download the file, both the BETA 264 as BETA 265 eliminates the Bitdefender.
Yet his program is unique and does its job perfectly.

welcome juan!
it's not a problem of HFS, it's a problem of bitdefender.
It is saying HFS is a trojan, while it isn't.
It's called "false positive", meaning it was considered a virus (positive) while it isn't (false), and you are supposed to report them of it.

the hfs265.exe  virusscan.org report:
http://virscan.org/report/f73e4c7788f1ad882e77ec468acd882b.html (http://virscan.org/report/f73e4c7788f1ad882e77ec468acd882b.html)

bitdefender say nothing like all others. HFS is CLEAN.

I don't understand anything. ???

The "rename" feature does not work (bis) with folders with accented characters created from the web page.
We had yet spent time the other day to find that it was resolved. :o

Yet the accents created are not "garbled" ... is a progress.  :)

I tried to come back to 264 version  ... does not work anymore either!  ;D

Sometimes there is a magic that eludes me in the computer. :D

Edit:

I found what is wrong: delete will not work on characters accented if the name of the parent folder contains ... accented characters! Maman ! I have a nervous breakdown!  ::) :D

Mil Sorry, sorry, it was here where I had to speak or write about what happened to me this morning, I let the Bitdefender for 5 minutes did nothing and the Super-HFS program worked.
Just shut off the PC, rebooted and there was no problem. MIL insist APOLOGIES.

When I checked the new version's menu, the Updates > revert to previous version does not exist. Is this a new edition of the template, or is it in the executable itself? If it is in the template, I have modified mine so that will explain why it did not update that aspect of it [because my modified template is retained with each update]. Also, that lib.js request thing I did not understand in the log, so I am glad that is no longer a factor.

that menu item appears only if you have a previous version on your disk.
it works with the "keep old version", that actually stores the previous version as "hfs.old.exe"
then, this feature is not currently able to download the previous version. It relies on the fact it was not deleted.

OK, that explains it then. I never keep old versions on my disc, so it is a better mechanism than I thought.

thanks man :)
i didn't check it but i trust you.
i'm going to bed, but what if we change the
   {.set|x|{.convert|utf-8|ansi|%folder%{.postvar|from.}.}.}
with
   {.set|x|%folder%{.convert|utf-8|ansi|{.postvar|from.}.}.}

does this solve?

you are not really supposed to do it manually. Just enable the "keep old version", that was disabled by default in previous versions.

That is what I meant. I never needed to enable that because I trust your beta updates. Nothing has crashed yet, and since that time I told you about the crash where all settings got deleted you have changed it for the better thus far.

@ Rejetto. I know you said you will need to update Delphi to support Unicode fully as I have suggested a while ago, but is there anything in the template you are able to change or some work-around to enable the Unicode support for file and folder names? This is assuming your Delphi is not the updated version.

Not better. :-\

I)

I note that my server root folder name contains some accented characters.

1. I created in harddisk 1 folder et added in root/:   /àààààààààà

From the webpage:
2. I created 1 folder in:   /àààààààààà/éééé
3. I created 1 folder in:   /àààààààààà/ùùùùù
- both are normally created -

II)

1. I tried to create 1 folder in: /àààààààààà/éééé/àààààà
- nothing is created -
2. I tried to create 1 folder in: /àààààààààà/éééé/aaaaa
- error message ajax: "error: failed" -
- nothing is created -

...but work (subfolders are created) with {.set|x|{.convert|utf-8|ansi|%folder%{.postvar|from.}.}.}

Act III) :)

I tried to delete & rename these folders:

- /àààààààààà/éééé
- /éééé/ùùùùù
- both can't be deleted nor renamed -

Final)

If permissions for root/ allows "delete"

/àààààààààà/ and all its contents can be deleted only from root/ .
/àààààààààà/ and all its contents can't be renamed

Macro convert placed before or after %folder% does not change much for [ajax.rename].

Edit:
I just noticed that the folders that seemed not to have been created ... have been created in the folder of hfs.exe. :o

Thank you, but your trust is beyond my possibilities. This is not a big project with a pre-beta-release testing group. And since i'm busy, i cannot afford a decent testing before publishing myself. This effort goes to the beta testers. Development is already slow as it is now.
Title: Re: Testing build #265
Post by: rejetto on August 05, 2010, 12:45:34 PM
Not better. :-\

indeed. Convert must be applied to %folder% too, because it's converted to utf-8 being the template utf-8.
I found how to solve. We must replace the unescape function with decodeURIComponent.
Moreover, {.convert.} is not the best choice for the template. I'll change it to {.force ansi.}, so it works even if people change the encoding.
Attached the fixed template.

nope.

but it's coming to my mind that maybe a limited support for real folders could be possible. (not through a change in the template anyway)

Indeed, it will be more "universal" ... and there will be fewer bad surprises. :)

Attached the fixed template.

Everything seems ok now.  :)

Merci rejetto!  ;)

ps: I think I'll compile a "265a"  ;D

what progress bar are you talking about?
i tried to reproduce the problem, but my bars are working both in the GUI and in the browser. The graph too, and this is what the default template is showin me.

If you are sure of this problem, you could try to reproduce it on another system.

When I get back home I found HFS popped up message about new build 265. Perhaps this was the cause of the problem. So 1st of all, the bug if it still exists, it was in 264.
2nd, seems  it reproduces when "update" dialog box is displayed.

I tested the Revert feature and was able to see the batch. Well, let the picture speak for itself:
(http://k92t.img-up.net/revertbatcjan8.jpg) (http://k92.img-up.net/?up=revertbatcjan8.jpg)

It worked nonetheless. ;D

Then the next "WTF?" moment: (http://q36t.img-up.net/hfsoldlol66r5r.jpg) (http://q36.img-up.net/?up=hfsoldlol66r5r.jpg)

Seems to be a pure display glitch...

i saw a graph in the attachment, not a progress bar.

ok, that problem was fixed in #265, so it should be fine now.
anyway, next time you report something about #264, use the specific topic. here we are discussing #265.

1. tell your g-data to ignore/exception for hfs
2. (optional) report to g-data team the false positive

Is it normal for delete to not work in a sub folder, even though it is flagging 'can delete' for me?

Also the Auto Update wont work for me on Build 265 so I haven't updated to 266 yet...

Just checked, the file is offline!

No this is not normal... normally the beta "266" must solve this issue.

Confirmed! I just tested... link is offline.

I posted the "266" for you at your mailbox.
