Here's what I have made, it works but when I was just trying to get it to work in IE6 it wasnt working. It should work though, Im unsure about what version of flash it requires but I made it using Flash 8.
To use it, use the filelist.tpl file and load either of the flash files through hfs. it is that simple.
The difference between the two flash files is one has a scrollbar and the other only has buttons to scroll up/down.

Trying it now, I'll let you how well you did honestly :) Thanks Foggy!

Yea, doesnt work on IE6. How far were you able to get on IE6, just not being able to find any search results or what?
Good work though dude, I'm sure it work sin FF and can be fixed to work in IE6 (does it already work in IE7?)
Good work, its a little big for my liking, but if its meant to be a dedicated page, it has potential, can you post some screenshots or a video, they arent needed but would be nice.

good job .. foggy grt work ;)

IE6 wont work with this and it never will. This is the same problem we had for the dynamic playlist for the Flash Player from Jeroen Wijering. We never got it to work in IE6 (and IE7?) so we dropped the project.
What you could do, however, is create a text-based filelist and make the flash player read that. Dont use any <> tag codes and it should even work in IE6.
Anyway :P nice going, this has potential.

lol, up until I posted that I had been using firefox to test it so I never even realiased I doesnt work.
@ELEVENNNN I won't post any pics but If I ever getting working 100% and people want it ill release it properly with pics, etc. Until then you have what I posted here. I agree the one with the scrollbar is a bit big but its not as big as it wouldbe if I used the flash UI Scrollbar.
@Mr. Me ;D
@Giant Eagle Ill look into creating a text based filelist and play around with that. Do you know the exact reason why it doesnt work in IE6?
If anyone has a suggestion please say.

IE sucks?
I like stating the obvious sometimes.

Look at the file list in both firefox and ie. IE tries to render it as an html page, where firefox uses the <?xml tag to indentify it as an xml file.

Foggy, I guess what I meant was the entire swf file is large (not in filesize but in width/height size). I think a simple 200x140 flash with a search field and some simple options (that are already in place) would be better, at least for use with Terayon. Obvioulsy it depends on the template its being integrated in to. Simple text results come back anyway, maybe slightly wider than 200, thats up to you.
What do others thing, regardless I think everyone agrees you've done well and its got potential.
Thanks GE for enlightening us about the way the browser treat <xml

now that I know it doesnt work in IE6 I'll try and get it to, once it does work and you want me too. I can try and create a template of it that is smaller/looks better.
And as I said before suggestions are welcome. :D

I did some googleing and found out why IE6 doesn't like the xml, it has to do with cache-control and the compression used. I disabled compress browsing in hfs and it worked first time.
The link that helped me out the most is Here (http://www.justsuppose.com/2007/09/more-flash-and-ie-6-gotchas-2032-error.htm)
Rejetto do you think it would be possible to set the cache-control to what is contained in that link, or maybe another possible way around the problems with IE6? I dont think its a good idea to disable browser compression.

Maybe this will help GE in his failed attempts. (At life of course)

Elevennn suggested in the other topic that I should set up an example, so I did :D
It can be found HERE (http://users.on.net/~foggy2/search/Search.html)
Some suggested searches are test, example, search, hfs, chaser.
Edit: Forgot to mention that it doesnt have the case sensitive search option on the one I uploaded earlier.
