In hfs (in expert mode!):  Menu -> Tray icons: deactivate 'Tray icon for each download'.

you can get different notification, like the sound, or you can use [download]{.notify.} to get a tray area balloon hint

I no longer understand what you want ... is difficult to follow you. You want to see the icons or not?  ???

ON:   In hfs (in expert mode!):  Menu -> Tray icons: CHECK   Show main tray icon and Tray icon for each download
OFF:  In hfs (in expert mode!):  Menu -> Tray icons: UNCHECK   Tray icon for each download

i know no way to solve your problem, but it doesn't seem to be closely related to HFS itself. If a solution exists, it's likely to be at a system level. Would you find anything useful about it, please share it with us.

Title: Re: Problem with hfs and w7 64bit
Post by: Lenkas on August 04, 2010, 10:06:18 PM
With 244 - download tray icon not working good.. because  when somebody downloading some file from my server, - in "Notification Area Icons"  (photo in first post..) always create NEW icon.. and function "Show incon and notificatio" (in same "Notification Area Icons") not working on hfs download tray icon.. (because new download create new incon... new icon.. new icon.....  100peoples download some foto = 100 new "Notification Area Icons" icons... (hfs 'tray`s')

243 version dont have this bug.. and working GOOOOD with windows 7 64bit.

100peoples download some foto = 100 new "Notification Area Icons" icons... (hfs 'tray`s')

This feature is called "Tray icon for each download"...  this perhaps explains that.  :D

I'm not sure whether the version you prefer, is that which works best.  :)

@rejetto
Perhaps an option to display a limited maximum number of icons?  ;)

Menu > Limits > Max simultaneous tray icon: value
Title: Re: Problem with hfs and w7 64bit
Post by: rejetto on August 05, 2010, 11:28:48 AM
@lenkas
what you are describing is the expected behavior of that feature/option.
You say in 243 it doesn't happen. To make it not happen you can just disable the option.
Is that enough for you?

Why "243" working goood?
because this version no create tray icon for each download ! ! ! ( :)  SilentPliz  )

in "notifiaction area icon"  are JUST HFS ICON... but no "icon (tray) when downloading"   - this is a good!

you are ignoring what we are saying you. Maybe it's a problem with your english, but we are not going anywhere this way.
You say you need that feature: please explain in detail what you expect from that feature you need.
If you feel uneasy at this, then try saying what's wrong with disabling that option.

Hi Lenkas  :)

I think rejetto and me have understood, but it seems that this is not a bug, and you ask for this feature of incorrectly works (as it appears on beta 243).

To confirm, tell to us in which scenario you are about this:
Quote

100peoples download some foto = 100 new "Notification Area Icons" icons... (hfs 'tray`s')

1) This is not a bug if:

- 100 icons appear and disappear gradually as the download starts and ends.

2) This is a bug if:

- All 100 icons are displayed even when the downloads are complete.

In what scenario are you?

If you are in the first case, rejetto can do nothing, it's the normal operation of this function.
The only thing which maybe he can do (if he wants) is to add an option to display a limited number of icons (5 latest downloads by e.g).
Or perhaps an icon for the total % downloads in progress.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If beta 243 still shows only one icon ... it's version 243 which has a bug, and does not work.
So, if you disable this feature in version 266, you will reach the same (no) result.

If you're in the second case, it is indeed a bug to be resolved.

Sorry, I had posted before seeing the video.

edit:
The big window (Notification Area Icon) that you display twice is a Window7 panel that seems help to setup the tray icons. (?)
It's in parameters of this windows that you must to look for a solution at your problem I think.
-

In your video, you should have rather shown the notification area (right of the bar at the desktop bottom) during the downloads.
But this is not very important, I seen it at the end of the video, and everything seems to have happened correctly.

For me there is no bug: the picture below concerning HFS ... all appears to operate normally.

You told me (and confirmed) the problem was introduced in version #244, while it was actually introduced in #263.
This misled me for long.
Now I finally fixed the problem, and you will see it in next release (267).
It was not related to the 64bit thing.

As a general tip: when you click on the tray area and the extra icons are displayed in the little box, you can drag&drop these extra icons to the bar below. This is much faster than opening the dialog as you are doing.
