Any one got a D-Link DI-524 router? i need help.
-
This page has help on how to forward ports on your router:
http://www.portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/Dlink/DI-524/DI-524index.htm
-
But Hfs is not in there. and how can i find my private IP address?
-
ok, can someone tell me if this is right?
Name: HTTP
Private IP: the one under [/b]menu > IP address >
Protocol Type: Both
Private Port: 80
Public Port: 80
Schedule: Always
Is that right? :?:
-
Yes, that's right.
What did you type in the Private IP?
Also, don't forget to check the Enabled box there.
-
in the private ID i typed in what Hfs says in the Address. You say its right but i hit the self test and it comes up with a error box.
-
What is the IP address you typed?
You need to type your Internal IP (most of times it starts with: 192.168.) there, not the External IP. I'm asking to be sure.
-
Its 192.168.2.100
-
maybe if i restart my computer? let me try
-
nope, restart didnt work
-
Post your external IP address while HFS open and I'll try to get in.
-
well my external is 68.93.179.195
-
WOW ok nvm some how its started working!

How did you get that nice-looking page, instead of the default page? Did you modify the default HTML template ?
-
Yes, you need to restart your computer everytime you forward a port with the D-Link routers. |)
Anyway, your website looks cool. Good job. :^^:

Well, I have a DLink router, but I don't need to restart when I forward a port. Just need to reboot the router.

Better be quick, coz I might get them in the time gap between adding your files and setting a user restriction :P :D
