But it says before Self Test " If you use HFS in a LAN this is not for you" and I have a LAN. So I assume its warning me
it won't work, and I thought nothing of it.
i just noticed this warning is equivocal.
it was meant as "if you use in LAN only for other people in LAN", but it is not clear at all.
i changed it in next version with this sentence:
If you are not interested in serving files over the internet, this is not for you.if you think something better, let me know
After I read this post I tried it and it reset my port to 9000
(I think it was). It also screwed up the port in the .ini and I
had to "fix" it.
this is very strange.
i just tested it with a non-working setting, and a starting port 123, just to make the self test fail.
indeed, it failed, but after notifying me that it failed, it restored the port to the original value: 123.
this is the expected behaviour, if you find a way to reproduce your problem, let me know.
and, btw, what version are you using?
