Thanks Rejetto. That means HFS worked fine  :D

However, whenever I try it on my own machine, I always get my router home page. Any idea why that happens, and how I can fix it ?

because the router forwards the port only if the connection comes from the internet

Had the same problems with my new router (speedtouch).
Solved it by conecting through a proxy.

Thanks. But after testing locally with 'localhost', I'd have to change the IP address back to my domain name (or WAN IP), otherwise outsiders won't be able to connect from the Internet, right ?

no. you can use localhost they can use your external IP at the same time.
BTW - 'F9' is a usefull HFS key. try it ...

No, Just type localhost in your browser.
You don't need to change it in your router.

You mean if Menu->IP address is 192.168.1.2 (my local IP), and not a custom (or dynamic) IP entered via Menu->IP address->Custom... users will still be able to connect to HFS from the Internet ??

Yes, I mean that if you are behind a router and Menu->IP address->=192...
and you forwarded the HFS port in your router to 192... , you can still open a local IE window, put in the address  192... (or try to press F9 in HFS) and you can test your server locally. At the same time - the world will be able to use your external IP.

Sorry, i'm a little confused, i keep seeing my router homepage when i try to access my domain ?

 Could somebody please explain to me what i have to do like they would explain to an idiot becouse that's what i'm feeling like after 2hrs of trying !!          :lol:

 Oh, and am i trying to set up a wrong domain ? ie  : Host Type:
 DNS Host (A)
DNS Host (Round Robin)
DNS Alias (CNAME)
Port 80 Redirect
Web Redirect

  EDIT !!!

 S'ok, i've sorted it, piggybacking my PSP on my neighbours wireless router shows everything working ok !!
