HTML & templates / I would if i knew how it edit them

I have tried to plug in the text, to edit it.
But it does not work..

How about a "HowTo" for us HTML Newbies, just for HFS.

Color
Text Size
Inserting Background Images
Etc.

P.S. I Tried The BLACK .tlp  It didn't work.

If i knew how it edit it, i would share templates.
