Title: HFS + STunnel + Download Manager

Hello,
      I installed HFS + STunnel as instructed and it works great. The only problem I'm having is that I can't get HFS + STunnel to work with a Download Manager (DM). I'm guessing the DM is opening another session and the authentication is failing.

Has anyone got HFS + STunnel working with any Download Manager? If so which ones?

i don't use stunnel, but you can enable a detailed log in hfs and post it here.

I tried stunnel & HFS with DAP.  Unsuccessful with https.  DAP won't accept a https url.  It appears that DAP doesn't support https.  This is a download manager problem. 

Rejetto I noticed one thing while testing this that you might want to take a look at....

Menu Option -> Include password in pages for Download Managers.  I know this doesn't work with Internet Explorer - my testing is with Opera

With https enabled and the above menu option enabled, the https pages change back to http in error.

i enabled both "include password" and "https" options, and the URL generated for a protected file was
<a href='https://a:@localhost/Barry%20Gray%20-%20Fireflash%20Landing.mp3">
that's correct...
i cannot reproduce your bug

When I said "with https enabled" I meant with stunnel active giving you urls starting with https.  With "stunnel active" and with "include password in pages" turned on, the url changes from https... to http....  in HFS pages.

You mentioned "https" options.  The only https option I could find in the menu is "urls starting with https".  I enabled that and the https url remained correct.  I didn't think to use that when I was testing.

Sometimes HFS builds the whole url, protocol included, and that option was the best that came to my mind to solve the problem.
It's not very elegant.

Hi,

I am sorry for bumping in to a very old thread but has anyone got away with a solution for this?

In my case, the Download Manager seems to work just fine picking up the https from the browser of an Archive and Recursive folder, but not when I add a username and password to access it. I simply get the "Unallowed,  There is no file you are allowed to download !" message.

I have already tried enabling/disabling the "include password in pages" option so I don't think this is the case. Also, trying out other options like "Unreadable Passwords in URL" and "URL starting with https instead of http" does not seem to help.

I would really appreciate any help on the matter.
