HFS ~ HTTP File Server / Re: Prevent system standby on network activity
« on: January 14, 2010, 05:58:13 PM »
only "within"
I noticed this, because I am using a seperate music server on the same PC and you can enter this music server over HFS (a link in the VFS).
Are there any sugesstions how to prevent a system standby, if someone so leaves HFS for a while?
The music server I use is not able to prevent system standby on network activity.

Does this hfs-feature recognize any network traffic on the Server-PC or does it only recognize traffic "within" HFS?

HFS ~ HTTP File Server / Re: Events
« on: December 29, 2009, 11:46:11 AM »
Does the file 'hfs.events' show up in the root of your hfs folder on your drive?  It should.  If so, open with an editor like notepad, or use Alt+F6 from the HFS gui, to see if you can spot the reason why it isn't being read.
I still could not spot any reason, so I did this:

Still no idea - delete the hfs.events file from the pc it isn't working in and let HFS re-create it with Alt+F6.

Thank you maverick. That was the solution.

Maybe macros aren't enabled in one of them.  Check :  menu -> HTML template.
Macros are enabled.

HFS ~ HTTP File Server / Events
« on: December 28, 2009, 02:36:08 PM »
Hi,

I tried several times in the past to use event-scripts but I never had any luck. Simple examples to enter in the hfs.events did not work with my HFS-installation.

Now installed HFS on another PC to experiment with some templates and template changes and I tried hfs-events again.
Event-sripts work here without any problem.

What could be the difference in both installations that make either hfs.events work or not?

Beta: 2.3 Build 250

HFS ~ HTTP File Server / Re: Weblink in real folder
« on: December 12, 2009, 10:31:10 AM »
I found a solution to my problem, but I am not sure, that this is the one and only way to do it, because it is a little bit complicated:

  • I createst a HTML-File with a "href=weblink" in the real folder and named it as I wanted.
  • In the file-mask of the real folder I added the name of the html-file without the suffix.
  • Last I added a weblink to the real folder in the VFS

HFS ~ HTTP File Server / Weblink in real folder
« on: December 11, 2009, 07:16:42 PM »
Hi,

I want to place some weblinks in a real folder but don't get it working.

It is possible to add a Weblink with HFS but it is not shown in the browser.
If I place an Url-Link in the harddisk-folder it is shown but looks very ugly with the Suffix "url". When I click on this Link in the browser I am asked waht to do with it.

Can someone tell me the right way to do it.

HFS ~ HTTP File Server / Re: Update HFS and folder permissions
« on: August 13, 2009, 06:00:14 PM »
are you sure it did happen exactly after the upgrade?
i have no idea on how to fix it, for now you should backup your settings, as suggested.
Yes. I made an online-update  and immediately after the restart of HFS I noticed, that all folder-permissions for individual users were gone. All  permissions for "Any Account" still existed and the folders with permissions for individual users had chaged to "Any Account".

Sorry that I did not answer to your suggestion for such a  long time, but I have been away from home quite a long time and since then I only started some days ago to look after my HFS-configuration.

1. menu > debug > enable macros.log
2. download a folder archive that should NOT be allowed
3. before any other request is made, move the file macros.log from the HFS folder to another one, like your desktop

I enabled Macro-logging with you script. There ist nothing concerning to this script in the macro.log.
I made some experiments with hfs.events using your example from your hfs-introduction-thread:

Code: [Select]
[download]
{.if|{.is substring|%item-name%|hey.}| {:
  {.set speed limit for connection| 10 .}
:}.}

This code works and is logged in macro.log.

I looked again ant you code-suggestion for my problem and tried to understand it and maybe find errors. As I told you, I do not understand much of this syntax, but 2 questions:

1. Should it not be [download] instead of [+download]? Anyway it did not work with [download] either.

2. Shouldn't there not be a {.disconnect.} in the code?

If I ever get it to work with hfs.events: Is there a way to make it different for different folders in vfs.
The reason: Some folders should be allowed to archive at the 3rd subfolder, some at the 4th subfolder a.s.o.

HFS ~ HTTP File Server / Update HFS and folder permissions
« on: August 10, 2009, 11:31:26 AM »
I have some accounts, that have a personal Download and Upload folder and permission is only for this single account.
After updating HFS online I lost all folder permissions for these individual accounts. They were all set to "Any Account".
The first time when this happed some months ago, I just repaired the restrictions and did not think about it further on.

Now updating on the latest Beta it happened again.
Do you have any idea, what might cause this?

Die Datei 'D:\_install\_Util\_www\http_Server\hfs242.exe'
enthielt einen Virus oder unerwünschtes Programm 'APPL/HTTPFileServ.1' [program].[/color]
As Kaspersky found a virus as well, we have to ask the author, Massimo Melina, to remove the critical code.
Why are you wondering if you download a HTTP-Server and you Antivirus program says, that it is a HTTP-Server?

Ok, this version should work instead.
But the message will be displayed only from next beta version.
As it still doesn't work here, I think I must do something wrong.

This is what I'm doing:

HFS-Beta 2.35
Template: RAWR
Flag folder as archivable
Put the code with Alt-F6
Save as hfs.events in the HFS-Folder

The folder and it's subfolders are all archivable. There ist no disconnection and no warning.

Hi there,

is it possbible to display individual folder-icons with RAWR-Template depending on a folder.jpg in the folder?

this solution is untested, and works only with last 2.3 release

I finally found time to try it.
Had to read about events first.
As far as I understand the script (I am not common with the syntax) there should be a warning if someone tries to download an archive if it's URL has more then 4 slashes.

It doesn't seem to work.
I enabled "Archivable" for the real folder and all folders are archivable.
What am I doing wrong?

have a look about %bread-idx% , it return the current sub-level index 0=root, 1 is first ...

{if not|{.in range|2|%bread-url%|5.}| can archive|no archive.}

Well, I am more a kind of user of ready available templates. So far the only thing I did with templates was changing smaller things like colors, text, picturs and so on.
Mostly I did this with try and errot. ;)

I am using RAWR-template. Can anybody tell me where and in what way I have to insert this code?
