123 if 2 it here since the build #251

But if you want to be sure not nothing to miss ... uses build #254 ;)

The select button work fine for me :-\

Joke : You're not using IE6 by chance? :D

...unfortunately IT department (e.g. antispam/antivirus) decided that I cannot download the HFS anymore  ???
I'll do the tests at home  ;)

About IE6, unfortunately IE6 is the official version within our company  :o
This means that if you plan not to supported it, I cannot use the latest version!

But we start to migrate to Windows 7  ;D and UNIX users work with FireFox in any case  :D

Hi Rejetto,
the new template looks nice. I tested it on IE8 and it works perfectly.

my 2 euro cents - I found this features very useful and in my opinion shall be part of default template:
- the possibility to create a folder
- possibility to add a comment to the uploaded file
- function for the user to change her/his password

As you are working on the template, maybe you can also fix the bug with the Progress Frame which does not work with browsers different from IE  ;)

if i knew a very short way to fix it, i would have fixed it :D
Sound very "philosophic" but it's also true  ;)

i will, but i takes 30-60 minutes.
Ok I got the point  :(

i can't point you to other working templates simply because i don't know which ones have the problem, you'll have to test them yourself, sorry.
Maybe "French Can Can" knows it  :D I'll send him a PM request

err, i don't know.
anyway, you mean a change to the default tempalte, or another template without the problem?

If there is a change that fix the problem on the default template, this would be the best solution.
If the problem is solved into another template, I can have a look at the code and see if I can integrate it into the default one.

Is any solution available in other templates?

HFS ~ HTTP File Server / Progress Frame does not work with FireFox
« on: February 17, 2010, 09:37:07 AM »
I'm currently using HttpFileServer 2.3 beta Build 242 and users are happy  :)

Sometimes they upload big files from UNIX using FireFox and they report that the Progress Frame bar does not work (e.g. does not show any progress).

I tested also on Windows with FF 3.5.7 and is not working as well.
With IE 6 it's perfect.

Any hint?

HFS ~ HTTP File Server / Re: how can i create a new folder?
« on: July 23, 2009, 01:02:07 PM »
what does the code "<script language="JavaScript" type="text/javascript"> window.location="/"; </script>"
mean? it seems work without this code. thanks.

No idea: i do not have it in my template and it works fine  ;)

The current search looks into all the folder where an user has access.
To look for a file into a single folder is sufficient to enter in that folder and use the "search" feature of any browser.

Maybe I got it wrong  ??? ???

HFS ~ HTTP File Server / Re: how can i create a new folder?

You have to edit the template and you need to be a little bit familiar with html coding.

The first part of the code
  {.if|{.get|can upload.}|
   Folder name: <input  type='text' name='fldname' maxlength="25" size="25" >
   <input  type='submit' name='createfolder' value='Create Folder' >
  /if.}

You have to put in the first form.
Look for the tag <form method='post' id='filelist'> and place the above code just before the closing tag </form>

Pleace the second peace of code at the end of the template file.

dont know if this is a bug , but its annoying..

uncheck MENU> Tray Icons > Tray icon for every download

Every download is represented by a supplementary tray icon, it is only due to it.

Like we informed to know if it resolved your problem ;)

I got the same issue .. thanks for the hint ;)

I got a similar problem: after reboot of my PC HFS was not working! I changed every till I found that Skype was blocking the port!
So I stopped Skype, I started HFS and it works fine  :D

So, try to disable other software and check your firewall settings
