HFS ~ HTTP File Server / Mulit Folders
« on: December 18, 2005, 03:26:37 AM »
Ok I figured it out after looking at you screen shots (don’t ask me how I came up with this it just hit me when I saw your screen shots lol) I made a folder in "C:\Documents and Settings\Liz\My Documents\" called upload to me and right clicked it and added it to HFS then I also added the folders inside it "Mattkerr, woodstock1330, Liz, and Guest" so I guess somehow it added them twice that was so what I did was removed the in HFS and created a new Virtual folders inside HFS (Upload Area hehe like you did it was something to put there) then added "Mattkerr, woodstock1330, Liz, and Guest" and added upload rights and it worked just fine.

Ok why does this happen when I set upload rights to 2 people for example I make a Liz folder I will allow Liz and me SiY11 to upload to that folder when I do that why does it make 2 of the same folders on the site here a pick to see what I am talking about.

I was thinking and I believe only Sony can fix this problem in a next firmware update if they ever do it. Sony would have to implement support for passwords in rss feeds so all we can do is wait what does everyone else think?

PLEASE HELP ME  :!:

THANKS  :D
From the looks of it your HSF port is set to 89 and your router is set to port 80 these have to be the same

I would suggest you use port 8080 on both HFS and your router virtual machine settings.

Sorry I wasn’t logged in

But that’s what I did was use port 8080 and everything worked.

The other ports didn’t seem to work.

I heard some ware in the forums someone suggested that maybe the ISP is blocking use from using server and maybe that’s my problem. Anyone knows if charter does that so I don’t have to ask them.
