Yeah I've done Javascript checkbox/image replacement, but I can't get the checkbox image to attach to the upper left corner of the REAL checkbox instead of the lower right.  That causes placement of the checkbox image to be incorrect.

Nothing is as easy as it seems.

Yeah, I know.  Doesn't it just piss you off when people keep nagging you for features? :D  Everything that involves computers is just a pain in the a$$, but that's why I like it.  I like to be challenged.  Though shit like checkbox styling just pisses me off.  Although I enjoy a challenge, I wouldn't mind some things being less of a pain in the a$$. :P

It's not that simple FRENCH CAN CAN.  To my knowledge, Firefox doesn't allow styling of checkboxes.  I think I've hit a snag that can't be solved until CSS3 is fully supported. :'(

With the way I currently have it set up, you MUST have the delete permission to use any of the tools (or to view them).  Being a member is not enough.  My new version fixes this.  I'll release my new version soon if I can't find a solution to the checkbox styling.

And the search bar and buttons are supposed to be where they are.  If they're against the right side of the screen you have to scroll over to see the member tools when you hover over them.  It's quite a pain in the a$$.  That's why I changed the value.

I didn't realize that building up a good template would require so many resources. Modifying it is much more easy  Grin

I should point out that this is NOT my template.  I AM just editing an existing one!  Doesn't change the fact that the original has basically NO features at all and everything needs to be added for it to be more than a glorified aesthetically pleasing file browser. :P

EDIT:
Oh, and I've got some good news and some bad.  Good news is I've got everything internally linked.  Bad news is the checkbox size problem still exists.  I can change the checkbox to a picture but when I do I can't move it.  I can shrink it and change it's color, but it isn't affected in Firefox.  This is totally sucking.  It looks GREAT in every browser except for Firefox.  I don't want to accept that as the final solution, but I don't see much of a choice.  Any ideas?

I've got almost everything perfect except for the fact that the checkboxes won't resize in Firefox.  They work in ALL other browsers.  I think it's because Firefox has a larger cellpadding than the other browsers, but I have no idea how to get around that.  It looks great in all browsers except for Firefox.  In firefox it looks like crap. :'(

Then there's also the issue of release.  I can either upload the whole thing which is against the rules or I can write a 20 page essay explaining how to apply this template properly. :(  There are so many external files my head is spinning.

It looks horrible when the checkboxes look like standard elements that have just been stuck in the middle of a perfectly flowing template and disrupt it's beauty.  They still look pretty bad but at least they're not so.....obvious.  I'll probably darken them a bit more to conform to the theme and I've got to move the checkboxes up.  They look like they were just tacked onto the bottom side of every file and folder and they look horrible.  They look hella good when right next to the item size attribute, but I can't seem to get them into position. :-[

I've got everything working now and I've styled the checkboxes to better fit the Live 3 Black template.  Unfortunately I'm linking to about 5 more files including new .css style sheets and .js files.  It's just becoming too complicated to release without releasing the whole thing.  The delete button in my old template looks the same but now pressing it will delete all selected items.  I've also changed the "change password" hover element into just a button as well.  Here's a snapshot of how it's going so far:

I'm trying to move the check box up a bit, but it's not going too well so far.  I'm going to try to edit some of the Javascript elements and see if that does anything............

23
It doesn't do anything when you press the delete button.  I've got the checkboxes and everything looking mighty fine, but they just don't function.

24
Yeah.  It looks horrible.  I'm working on it right now as we speak.  I have it looking GREAT, but it doesn't work. :P  It figures.  FRENCH CAN CAN can make it work, but it looks horrible and I can make it look wonderful but it doesn't work! :-[

EDIT:  I don't understand.  No matter how I edit FRENCH CAN CAN's template, NOTHING HAPPENS!!!  I even deleted all the checkboxes in the template and they're all still there! >:( I'm getting pissed off.

25
I'll try to work on FRENCH CAN CAN's code to make it look better, but like everything else of his I've downloaded it's not coded properly.  There are lots of errors.  You can't even move the checkboxes.  I don't know what's wrong. ???

26
I don't mean to be rude, but like I said it would it looks horrible.  Perhaps if you put the checkboxes where the file descriptions are right under the file names and moved the "delete selected" and "archive selected" buttons to the top bar?

do you think it is possible to ingrate it in this new template?

Possible?  Yes.  But it'd look like crap.  Just wait.  TSG is working on a new hover and multi selection element that will be much better than check boxes.  I myself may work on individual delete and rename buttons.  I thought of adding them directly under each file/folder name.  Just click the button under the file/folder name and the file/folder would be deleted.  But I have no idea how to implement it.  To be honest I don't have the time to mess with it right now.

FRENCH CAN CAN

Thank you for correcting the template, however you needed to keep the location of the tools and search further away from the right side of the screen.  The way you have it, when the drop down menu comes up the user has to scroll over to the right in order to see the menu items.  I have included instructions and upped a new version:

http://uploading.com/files/ERRM6XWP/Live3+Delete+Rename+CreateNewFolder+ChangeUserPassword.zip.html

New Instructions!!!
1.  Download the original Live3 Template from www.rawr-designs.com

2.  Add the contents of the folder entitled "New Contents" to the template folder
    that was included with the original template downloaded from rawr-designs.

3.  Install the template named "NewLive3.tpl".

4.  Go into your custom .css folder (i.e. live_black.css) and edit the #header_logo span
    element like this:

   #header_logo span {
   margin:15px;
   width:330px;
   height:25px;
   float:right;
   }

4.  The custom LBT Server logo and custom background image can be found in the
    "images_added" folder.  You can add them to your server template if desired
    by linking to the images via the custom .css file for each original
    template (i.e. live_black.css).

I must have done something wrong.  ;D

You haven't properly linked to the .CSS and .HTC file.  Besides....I told you it might not work with any theme except for Live Black.  I personally tried linking everything through the file system, but I eventually had to go through my server's domain name.  If you want you can upload the CSS and HTC file to upload.com or another service.  Just make sure to upload the HTC file first and redirect it's location in the CSS file before uploading the CSS file.

RAWR-Designs / Re: Flash Uploader

By flash player?  Wouldn't that mean that ANY flash based uploader would be plagued by this problem? :'(

If that's so is there any way to change the method of authentication?
