tell me more about your need
It's not something I need, I just test a lot of things
I read of here. Sometimes I find a better way to set up
my HFS, from this. A process of learning. :)

router & port problems / Re: HFS + Router +need help

Looking at the router sceenshots I noticed something I think is wrong.
In Basic Setup you had Starting IP Address as 192.168.1.100, but
in Apps & Gaming you have HFS1 forwarded to 192.168.1.50
I don't think that will work? I don't use port 80, no real reason.
I use something like 2080. Otherwise your router settings look
like mine.
A tip - the wrt54g will allow you to connect to HFS locally with your
external (internet) internet address, like
Code: [Select]
http://174.26.98.113:2080
Try this:
1. Reset your router in Setup > Basic Setup > Starting IP Address to 192.168.1.40
(Be aware that IF you have wireless devices come online set to automatic connect
they will take the lowest vacant ip first, and could cause a confilict, if the server
with a static local network ip comes on line later, it may find its assigned ip taken)
2. In Applications & Gaming > Port Range Forward , leave as is , but change port
start and end to 2080 or something other than 80.
3. Turn HFS off and set to that port, then make sure its turned back on.
5. Go to Status page in router and see what it shows as your ip address
then enter that in browser with :port after, or use hfs self test, etc and
see what happens.

Have you tried shutting down your firewall?
Also, have you tried moving the server computer to DMZ in router?
Does the server computer have a static ip in windows, like 192.168.1.50?
I have a WRT54G. Its usually pretty easy to set up.

for normal forms use {.?nameOfTheField.}
for method=post use {.postvar|namOfTheField.}
Thanks ! I'm not a programer, but I'll look for examples.
Maybe I can get it to work. Would be very useful. :)

Would it be possible to insert a parameter into a macro
by using a form?
Using {.add folder | insert path via form | insert folder name via form .} ?
Then on button click a folder is named and added ?
Same with move or copy/paste.

So far I see no problems here.
HFS just gets more awesome with each build.
Thank you Rejetto !

1 - In the tree of the virtual system of files, with "double click" on the name, we
can " rename " the object
I can already do this ??

If you haven't found a solution yet you might read

I set up a folder from this info, that redirects to the upload form. Didn't try redirecting on
log in to that folder, but it should work? Might be a good idea to test it with a lot of files to see
if theres any lag on redirect.

Maybe a system problem.
Rejetto, delete this thread if you like, as it serves no purpose now.

Bug reports / Load Macro
« on: October 18, 2008, 03:22:21 PM »
Am I missing something, or does the load macro not work anymore?
I had tested it some time ago, and it worked. Now in 208 it doesn't.
From wiki:
load | A
you'll love this one. You can specify A as a file name, or as a URL. It will load and expand to it. The file or URL you specify must be accessible from the server machine. A can be
Code: [Select]
C:\windows\win.ini or also http://another_hfs_in_lan/the_file_i_want.txt.

I'm seeing what appears to be an error with %number-users%.
When 2 are logged in 3 are reported, then on refresh its 1.
I'm using my LAN, and this page is at Folder1> Folder2> Folder3.
%number-addresses% will also report 1 when 2 are connected
at times.
These users are not linked to accounts. Using different computers
with different LAN addresses.

Looks complicated to me. Perhaps it would be easy to make an error
on who has access to what?
Will we be able to turn this off?

I only had time to check it once from work tonight, but it
worked great !  :) Now I can run my log analyzer program
from another location and see the latest traffic anytime,
Just by clicking the button on a page.

This is awesome.  Many thanks Rejetto.
