Ive read through the forums, got a html home page set up...everythign works great there. My problem is with accessing
my file folder (shared folder) FROM the home page. Ive tried making a link on the home page, but unsuccessful. Check through
the expert options...no luck. Ideas?

hey... im doing the same thing... www.aguyincookeville.com i have a index.htm for a home page which i use as a frames page and im able to navigate in the lower main frame... what i do is on my link for my storage (aka my files) i link to http://ip.ip.ip.ip/whatever_your_folder_is_called like mine is aguyincookeville.com/storage and that takes care of the linking..
as i reread what i wrote you have to make your hyper links link to the folder that you have in hfs.. like you have root /storage and /uploads your link has to be http://blahblahblah/storage/ and http://blahblahblah/uploads
hope thats a little more clear..

to access, you just need to link.
if it doesn't work for you, say what's wrong.

where do you put your home page? where do the link target to? do you put the page inside hfs too?
-
oh lol i guess that would help wouldnt it.... i use root/index.htm and to make sure that the index is accessed you right click the little house... go to advanced then to default file mask and enter index.htm and bada bing everytime someone types in http://ip.ip.ip.ip they will get your http://ip.ip.ip.ip/index.htm page.
hope this helps..

im afraid i misunderstand here. correct me if im wrong. u put a html page at hfs root to be your main page. from that main page, u want to access the fileserver. am i correct?
if yes u should do as tuskenraider said. put html page at main root, and all other files/folders inside 1 main folder. at the home page, put a link to "/mainfoldername/
then, right click at home icon at hfs, select "default file mask" and put the html file name, eg "index.htm". your vfs sholud look like image attached
