I have a small proposition for build 241, why not to use the syntax of {:|:} spread in:

{:\p:} replaced by a |
{:\n:} replaced by a CRLF (#0D#0A)
{:\t:} replaced by a TAB  (#09)
{:\\:} replaced by a \  (#--)

.....

So, from a text from Linux, it is possible to have the conversionto  Windows, it will be possible to study later a reversibility of the thing

I leave the discussion opened to this subject, in case somebody would have an idea or needs to complete the proposed list.

Of my quoted, I am going to try a programming in this direction, but which will not maybe be definitive.

 ;)

dont know if this is a bug , but its annoying..

uncheck MENU> Tray Icons > Tray icon for every download

Every download is represented by a supplementary tray icon, it is only due to it.

Like we informed to know if it resolved your problem ;)

i think HFS may guess the need to disable that option, based on the number of icons.
i have 2 ideas, and maybe both can be applied

1. have a "menu item" in the right click on the download tray icon, to disable that option.
i think it's a logic place to put it when a user is flooded with such icons

2. have HFS suggest in some way to disable the option when the number of icons is very high. 10? 20? I don't know.
If it uses a dialog for this, it must then remember the choice, to not prompt every time.
Maybe a pop-up button in the toolbar is a better solution.

all the debate above does not actually consider these details you added.
from what you say, it's like those icons are related to dead connections. that should never happen, and it would be a bug, but i should first understand if that's actually the case.
i cannot reproduce the problem. can you?

that tip is to disable the feature.
that may even be enough for you, but if there's a bug, it should be fixed, and i can do it only with your help.
1. can you tell me how to reproduce the problem?
2. can you provide a screenshot where the HFS window is visible as well as the "dead" tray icons?

all i (or others) do is start downloading a file and then abort before its finished.
this tip worked so i cant show you any screenshots today.
i'll turn it off again and show you tomorrow.
i get this almost every day.
