BUG REPORT at least versions beta7 to current beta10.

Any folder or file with an apostrophe in it is inaccessible.

It displays the file/folder, but you cannot access the folder or download the file.

Examples:

Folder:
Anthrax [I'm The Man] 1987 EP

Cannot click on folder to view file list.

Renamed folder to "Anthrax [Im The Man] 1987 EP"

Now I can see the files, but cannot download them because each track contains the album name in the title. (including the apostrophe)

Any way you could fix this, or shall I simply go ahead and rename all my files?

[PM me if you need more info]

it does work right to me
are you using a customized template? (HFS tells you in the status-bar)

Matter of fact, I am.  Odd how that should affect it so.

Any ideas what in the template could cause something like this?  So's I know where to start looking?  I'd hate to have to go back to the basic one.  Looks nice and all, but...

yes, your template may be using 'single quotes' for enclosing filenames.
it has to use "double quotes"

IMPORTANT
i made some changes that may help fixing the ominous error with speed limit, that one that comes up after some hour.
i ask you, the ones who know this error, to test this version and report here if the error has been fixed or not.

the progress bar in the "progress status window" don't work for me.
it does not even move. Only the pecent uploaded/downloaded changes.

Is this a bug?

the "get external address on startup" is not accurate.
i cannot access my server use that address.
the best tool to get external address is currently the mirc.

Is there a way to imitate the get method of the irc?

I've noticed this behavior with Netscape but in Internet Explorer and Opera it works fine.  Are you using Netscape?

I use Mozilla Firefox to upload files, and the progress bar didn't work for me either. Still have to test it with the newer betas...
Maybe all browsers based on Gecko show this behavior?

Also, the button "Add progress frame" doesn't appear when I'm using Firefox.
I guess it is hidden intentionally?

From what I've seen Netscape, Mozilla Firefox based on Gecho show this behavior.   The progress bar works fine in IE and Opera.   Maybe rejetto can fix.

To get the "add progress frame" in all browsers, you have to have javascript enabled.

That's the problem: I have Javascript enabled, still the button does NOT
appear in Firefox... IE works fine.
If you manually type /~upload+progress in the Fox, there are no problems
except the statusbar prob mentioned above.

But I have another problem:

I'm using HFS with WinNT 4.x Worstation, too.
It runs from Autostart (of course   ) and everything is fine.
BUT, if I shutdown Windows, HFS does not terminate and NT pops up
a box asking if the process should be terminated. This is very annoying
since NT does wait forever without doing anything unless you click 'Terminate'.
ATM I solved the problem by activating NT's 'AutoEndTasks' setting, but I
would like to have it fixed for two reasons:

1. NT's setting is globally set for all programs, and
2. VFS and options will NOT be saved as HFS is not shutdown gracefully.

And yes, XP works fine.  :P

Now that's a long post...

Merry X-mas, MarkV :bye:

nope, the problem was the label "jscript" instead of "javascript". fixed

yes, but...you should provide more information on your problem.
1. a full list of addresses HFS detected (menu -> ip address)
2. the address HFS detected as external (that is, the non-working one)
3. the address MIRC detect (that is, the working one)
4. tell if you are or aren't behind a router

if I shutdown Windows, HFS does not terminate and NT pops up a box asking if the process should be terminated.
HFS detects the WM_QUERYENDSESSION message. This way HFS knows if Windows is shutting down, and should never break the shutdown sequence.
This message is reported to work with Windows XP, Windows 2000 Professional, Windows NT Workstation, Windows Me, Windows 98, and Windows 95.
I don't know why should it work differently with NT4, but i have no way to test it.
I don't know how to fix BUT i noticed a little bug in the quitting code, and made some change.
If we are lucky, it fixed your problem also.
This in next 2.0 beta12.

Don'T know why it happend, i wasn't home. But it seems that the error occured while somebode tried to download some stuff from the server.
i attempted to fix the processQ bug in beta11. you are using beta10. try again.
