hfs.exe is not a valid win32 application

I'm trying to run hfs.exe and that's the error I get any ideas on how to fix it? I tried downloading it a bunch of times already.

  version 2.2f   or  version 2.3 build 244

2) what sort of error have you?

Clear browser cache before redownloading.

what's the size of the file you downloaded?

its 460 kb when I download it. I don't know why it wont work, it works on another computer I tried it on but this one it doesn't. I'm running windows xp sp3 on a dell. I've tried multiple times. One of the betas actually works but this doesn't.

We don't have a HFS version (stable or beta) that's 460 kB in size!  If you downloaded such a version from somebody it has been tampered with.  Get rid of it!  Download a valid version from here ...

yea I know, the latest stable doesn't work but the latest beta does. I'll use the beta for not but would rather use the stable and don't understand why the beta would work but not the stable version it doesn't make much sense to me.

impossible, I literally reinstalled windows yesterday just to get hfs working because I thought I had a virus or something was corrupt but that's not the case obviously.
