FHFS / Re: Website Domain - Resets to IP

Yes its a redirect, are not all Domain names just that. They Direct you to the correct it even if that IP changes. So what it the purpose of this field then?

FHFS / Email Validation issue
« on: May 30, 2013, 10:18:28 PM »
When someone creates an account and accidentally closes the window to resend email or enter code, there is no way to retrieve that screen. It would be nice if under the "Create Account" screen, there was a button to get back to that screen so they can re enter it or resend it. (For cases where they don't receive it, or the hyperlink in the email don't work)

Like:
(Verify Previous Account  Requests)

And they put in their email and then it pulls that screen up again, only if unverified.

FHFS / Website Domain - Resets to IP
« on: May 30, 2013, 09:38:23 PM »
Under Admin Console, Other Installation Settings, Domain Name.

I have been trying to set my Domain name, but it keeps resetting back to the external-IP after I save settings.

Thoughts on how to fix?

Is there a special format the domain has to be in.

Example, I'm am using this format: home.servername.com

Ver 2.0.5

Thanks

Programmers corner / Re: HFS 3 preview
« on: December 24, 2012, 06:24:01 PM »
Installed on Windows 8 - Install went with no issues. :)

To launch I had to change folders as it was installed into 2 sub folders.

"c:\hfs\node_modules\hfs"

Launched Main, that worked

Code: [Select]
C:\hfs\node_modules\hfs>node main
   info  - socket.io started
   info  - socket.io started
DBG)   listening on port 8
DBG)   listening on port 88

Back end works (From what I can see.)
Code: [Select]
Back End
Virtual File System
"bind to disk"
"add item"
"rename"
"delete"
with only "add item" clickable
But unable to get added items to save after adding.

well when page refreshes there are no items listed, but trying to re add the same item again i get a popup box:
Code: [Select]
already exists

But unable get to see front-end. "Oops! This link appears to be broken."
when trying to access i get this in the cmd window, but noting in chrome.

Code: [Select]
DBG)   serving 127.0.0.1:8 /
DBG)   serving 127.0.0.1:8 /favicon.ico
DBG)   vfs.changed

Using windows 8 & Chrome

I just wanted to see what HFS 3 was going to be like was why I tried to install.

If you need me to test anything else, let me know.

HFS ~ HTTP File Server / Re: HFS 3: tray icons?
« on: December 24, 2012, 05:45:31 PM »
I like programs having the tray icon optional. Some programs I want to see the icon, others I don't. HFS i do like seeing the icon. I use Teamview to access my server and at a quick glance I can see that HFS is running. I would prefer the tray icon. (Maybe make it optional for people. On by default with option to turn off.)

Tried Chrome and FireFox.

Are the thumbnails auto generated?

Or how do I make them?

Current Installed Version 2.0.3

Question: When "Load Thumbnails for JPG,PNG,GIF files" is selected. No thumbnail shows up until you click on "Photo" next to the file name, is that correct?

It would be nice to have a actual thumbnail show up instead like people have done in FHS.

Go into the HFS interface, go to the menu, then debug, then click 'enable' and 'append' macros log.  Then try submitting the form again.  That will capture any and all macros executed to a file.  The log will contain personal information though (all server settings and such) so I recommend you email it to me rather than attach it here.

email sent.

« on: December 01, 2012, 08:14:04 PM »
Nice thought someone had for the HFS i thought you might be able to add to FHFS Since some of the basic functionality is already there.

Themes by User. Currently you have it so they can pick from colors. Down the road it would be nice to have the option for them to pick from layout options also.

So the would get:

Layout option:
Color layout option:

and then maybe to the right have a screen shot that loads according to what they pick.

So for each layout you could have different color schemes.

Also have a file within each theme / color for what options are available when it comes to "Style/Layout" Drop downs.

And maybe somewhat easy way for updating the list would be like:

Having it look at the folder structure.

And the txt file could be used for the version compliance.  (Just a thought)
So if your using ver2.0.0 only Win Explore theme would show
Or if your using ver2.0.2 FHFS and Live Themes would show.
to show if it is compliant with older versions to current version add 2 text files with the version from the lowest compliant build and then one with highest compliant build.

Or have it look in the text file for the two lines oldest and most current. That way as people make themes me will know if it is compatible with what versions.
