Oh, god! Why every freaking security vulnerability on earth has to be: "Exploitation of one of these vulnerabilities may allow a remote attacker to take control of an affected system". It's like say: "the backdoor we have, has been broken, please update our software". Com'on!, it's not only OpenSSL, it's Microsoft (with his Windows), Oracle (with his JAVA), Adobe (with Flash), etc. All the same text: "a vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to take control of your PC" (obviously this sounds too scary, so, it's works for everyone). But, I don't buy that sh*t anymore. Sorry if this message it's too strong (for thin-skinned people), but those security updates are non-sense!. Too frequent, with very vague details!. I need more technical change logs!.

any chance that this build will be reupladed again with the current HFS build number?

last i checked hfs here is 2-3 builds behind, but this betat vesrion isn't subject too all teh "bugs" form the ofical realaes?... (that i have noted and found...)

OpenSSL has released security updates to address vulnerabilities in previous versions. Exploitation of some of these vulnerabilities may allow a remote attacker to cause a denial-of-service condition.

Available updates include:

OpenSSL 1.1.0a for 1.1.0 users
OpenSSL 1.0.2i for 1.0.2 users
OpenSSL 1.0.1u for 1.0.1 users
Users and administrators are encouraged to review the OpenSSL Security Advisory and apply the necessary updates.

i would also like to, it seems one just ha to update teh binarys and recompile it. Silent plz left the source behind. But he hasn't been on the forum in quite some time

I am sorry to say that it will be necessary to consider that silenpliz is definitely dead and buried, to had  being closest to him, I never had any news since his last connection, and having known his state of Health, it is quite possible that he succumbed to the disease.

All its sites have become unreachable, I have only his last source files that he had gived online in links on the forum

Thats a shame. I am a long time lurker of this forum and loved his work and helpful attitude. We need another HFS with SSL built in. Or an up to date tutorial that works with Stunnel 5. whatever it is now.

Oh no!, damn!, that's very sad... I wish someone of his family come here to say us something, but they may even not being aware of his participation here. Even if I never knew him, I feel really sorry for his death (if he died). He is/was very young (only 49 years!). I would like to express my sincere condolence to his family...
