I saw in the old patch notes that the limits for 4/2 Gigabyte per file was removed. However when I try to upload a DVD Image to a friend via HFS it didn't work with either a 4 gig file or a 2.5 gig file. Neither can he download files of those sizes he gets an "the supplied http header is invalid".

At the upload window the upload simply never starts.

Anyone know what the problem is ? Settings that are wrong etc ? My HFS is at http://cyan.mine.nu If I try to download the file via IE I get an 863 Mb file and in Firefox I get the correct size. It's all very wierd.

It's not a big deal anyway but I thought I would mention it. Guess not many uses HFS to supply that big files, sitting on 100 Mbit at home here so I use HFS to let my friends download from me.

What you are experiencing is the limitation of the browser being used.  This has been discussed before in the forum.  Do a search.  If my memory is correct, the limitation for Opera and IE is 2GB and Firefox is 4GB.  However, by using a good download manager, you can overcome these limitations.

Firefox 2 has no 4 GiB limit. For files >4GiB, you need NTFS filesystem.

Salut, a very good downloadmanager working well with HFS is FreeDownloadManager 2.1 (1641 Kb): http://www.freedownloadmanager.org/download.htm . It works best with Firefox 2.0.0.1, right mouse click into the HFS-page and then select "Download all with FDM". When download all desired files, delete those files you don't need, such as php, html, jpg, gif and so on.
