i got the video to play in both IE and Firefox.

Only issue is now

onces you play the video and want to click on second video it doesnt load the video have to refresh the page to do it.

i will upload the files in couple minutes doing more testing

I forgot to add that the next releases wont have VLC but the older configuration of players that I have, simply because I want to spend some time on the VLC option with the new preview box.

i tested this template very long time ago, from what i remember most of the images were linked to external server the image was probably removed from the server. I think they had local files available aswell.

VLC support would be great, as mysoogal has been implementing it default template. I have tested and the quality and speed is awesome comparing to divx player.

well it seems there is a problem with this, even when i use the full path to vlc js files the controler bar doesnt appear,

when i used the / for root the vlc player didn't show up, i really not sure how to fix this, as i only used 2 folders   not sure how to fix this sorry dude, it looks like you will need to copy the vlc controls into all the folders for now im not sure how to fix it

Actually adding / worked.

it doesn't work if your url is http://localhost.....

if you use your lan/wan ip ex: 192.168.1.100 or the redirect ex: hfs.myftp.org  the video loads fine. Only place i have the vlc controls are in the same directory as hfs.exe. and in hfs root filesystem.

Video loads fine, play,stop,volume up&down works fine, full screen, the video timer and status doesn't work.
problem is the slider doesn't' work, but video plays. i'm guessing we need to add / to SimpleSlider.js but its not in tpl file.

i added the attachment of template file, and screenshot of error.


EDIT:


i added the following to template file, the slider error fixed and its working perfect in Internet Explorer, but not in firefox, it works in firefox if i add the controls to the folder of the videofile, but works fine in IE without it.

yup its working now nicely done. Have to admit picture looks much better with vlc then web divx player.


Current issues with me is.
- I have real folder inside i have each movie with different folder i have to add controls to each folder thats too much files.
- Gotta figure out a way to have the controls in one location and play movies. Possibly add a frame for vlc that shows on each page i guess.
- Second can't fastword the movie - may theres a way to implement this.

For example i have real folder for TV Shows in HFS - i added the controls.


- In my real folder i have each show folder, i have to add controls to each thats too many files.

Very nice work mate, this way all video files have to be in root directory? I just tested it, video didn't load but then again i need to go to bed. I will try again.


Possible to implement this in the rawr template would be pretty sweet.

My Setup is files divided in catagories and stuff.

Would be cool vlc plugin with rawr template in spawn box.

My set is like this right now

its amazing nobody mentions that vlc media player can be embedded into html php etc and can stream everything mkv ETC

 

why bother making support for each extension type wmv, avi,mp4 etc when you can have one player that accepts all videos and audio. and plus its supported in every single operating system there is, linux,xp,mac,all types of linux distros 

its strange that i am the only person whom is thinking about such thing while the whole open source community is always talking about open source software but none of them are promoting it strange really 

would be great, if you can get it implemented and post the solution. VLC is my primary media player i use.

I share my movies and stuff with family friends on my server so have vlc for mkv files would be great.

Hi, first i'm very afraid for my bad "google translate " english.
i'm Francesco and it's shortly that i try to use Hfs with this tamplate.
Trying to improve the avi streaming i only replaced the original "terayon_prewievbox.fs" and the " .tpl" with the slasherx's posted files.
Is enough? Because now i see a new icon near .avi files but if i clik it under firefox nothing happens and under IE appears a blank divx player windows and the browsers say that i must install divx plugin.
I already have installed the request pugin but the same happens again whenever...

Welcome to the forums,

make sure you allow anonymous access to your video folder other wise it will not play with web divx player.
and use Internet explorer.

also make sure your web divx player works go to this site and make sure video plays.

hmm it now "finds" some of those movies but not all.. about half still get the 404 error

is there a fix for this yet?

Well i've done some research, according to divx site/forums. We cannot stream with web divx player from a htaccess (from protected resource) best bet is to use set folder
to anonymous access and use internet explorer.
