FHFS / Re: auto start

OK... I was able to create a shortcut and put that into the startup folder but it's still prompting me to hit start server. Is there anyway around this?
Thanks!

FHFS / auto start
« on: June 06, 2014, 08:10:57 PM »
Hello!

Is there a way to have the fhfs server auto start upon bootup? I see there's a way on the right click menu, under start/exit to run hfs when windows starts, from the system tray but it gives me an error. I'm also not sure what the difference is between hfs and fhfs...
Furthermore, It still prompts me and asks if I want to start the sever. When I click start sever is when I get the error. I've tried to put FHFS_Launcher.exe into startup but I get the same error. The Launcher exe seems to only want to run our of the FHFS root folder.

Is there a way to get fhfs sever/service 100% running on startup?

Thanks!

I got it to work with an image online but can I use a local image or does it have to be an url that's on the internet?

Thanks again.

Can I use the local url path in Windows to an image?

I managed to break the main fhfs.png image but it's not showing up with the image I want it to. The fhfs image simply just goes away. Almost there...

Thanks for the help.

I've been trying to put my own logo in FHFS but I can't seem to figure out how. When I open the base64 image file in a text editor it's just a bunch of mumbo jumbo. I don't see any paths or anything that would be useful.

I've also tried to code my own image and rename the base64 file to a file name that's already in the /resources/images directory but it doesn't seem to do anything. I can't even break anything it seems!

I've never worked with base64 images before so any other help you can lend would be great. Thanks!

OK I was able to look at the squid logs and it was a proxy issue on the backend. So problem fixed there.

Now the installer is telling me my admin pw has special characters... Why can't I have special characters for an admin pw? Seems silly to not be able to lock it down with a strong pw.

Hey, thanks for the reply!
It says HFS version 2.3 beta. I just downloaded it from the site this morning.

I'm trying to setup FHFS on a Windows 7 32bit test box. When I hit 'start installation' it tells me "To complete the installer, you must have an active internet connection. If you are absolutely sure that you are currently connected, there may be a temporary problem with the FHFS AJAX server"

I know I'm connected to the internet and I've turned off all firewalls, av firewalls, and most other applications that might be running on the same port or that could cause an issue.

Anyone know what's wrong? Thanks!
