i think this has nothing to do with the old processQ bug.
this "no buffer" happened because (IMO) there's no upper limit to the packets HFS sends.
anyway, trying to fix this problem, i rewrote the queue system, and i got a +50% speed! :king: (this in beta23, to come)

I think it was my fault, I accidently set speed limit to zero... Maybe you should enforce a minimal value, maybe 8K :?:

I will try DE one more time as Reget Deluxe is not freeware...

edit:
I should explain further: I was about to disable speed limit and forgot to remove the last 0. HFS and downloads stalled (Speedlimit 0). I discovered my error and removed the 0. As soon as i hit ok I got about 20 ProcessQ error messages. I posted only the first.

Maybe I found another program for files >4GB:

It even shows the file size correctly! Will test if download completes.

edit3 (the last):
Download completed successfully. File size is ok. I can not say anything about the contents as the file was all zeroes.

*STRANGE*:
After I got the above errors, I couldn't get back online, even locally, with HFS (and yes, the server is turned "ON"). Self-Test Failed, then it was OK on a second try, "BUT" I still couldn't do anything online or locally? I'll have to reboot and see what happens.

*AND* my "customized" hfs.tpl just disappeared, vanished, gone

?? Where did it go?

Doesn't look like the processQ bug is fixed.

*EDIT*:
After a reboot, HFS worked and my hfs.tpl mysteriously re-appeared!
Strange. Very Strange.

okay, first off, i will say that i've never seen Delphi code before today, and i've only been looking at your code for maybe 10 minutes. still, since i want to help, here are some observations (line numbers reference the file hslib.pas from version 2.0 beta 23):

in almost all of the procedures you define in the file, it goes something like this:

now, i don't know if Delphi allows that (i mean, it obviously compiled, i guess?), but it looks like you broke up the pattern by defining two procedures inside another one and added some blank lines. like i said, i've no idea of the Delphi syntax, but that's one thing that differs from the rest of the file, so you might want to check it out.

now, when people report problems with processq errors, it says "HSlib.processQ (Line 585, "HSlib.pas" + 7)" which suggests to me that it is crashing specifically on the call to assigned(c).

i don't know how strict Delphi is with memory, so c:=q may or may not require that q actually exist. java would throw an exception, but i don't think C/C++ would. anyway, does q.count update every time it makes the (i < q.count) comparison? if it doesn't, then you might be assigning an unallocated object to 'c' which could cause the access violation on assigned(c), fixable by keeping track of the current count yourself. on the other hand, if it does, well, i'm pretty much out of ideas for now.

i dont know if saying any of this will help, but at least it shouldn't hurt. :?
