Title: Loaded and not loaded pictures?
Post by: PolarFox on August 02, 2007, 05:24:58 PM
What difference between
A) http://myhost/mypage/
AND
B) http://myhost/mypage     (without / )

In variant A all pictures loading ok!
But! If i write path like as varian B - pictures and objects (such as CSS) NOT load :)
Is this my mistake or bug HFS or something else?

(path of object like this:
/!Server/!pictures/pic.gif
OR
pic.gif
)

(I'm learning html recently and stay beginner :)

what HFS version are you using?

the correct version is B, not A. The last HFS version should redirect any access from A to B before serving the page.

being owner of the forum, i can see your IP, so if you tell me the port where your HFS is on, i can have a look and see the problem.

I'm using always last version HFS (also betas) ; now i have 2.2a(b 124) ;
and i use server only in LAN :)

This is not big problem, but if anybody write in browser (or click in a bad link) variant B - content will be very bored ;)

You say, right only variant "A" - so this is my mistake, i think?

If you post the port that you run HFS on, myself or rejetto can test to checkout the problem you are having... you may have to port forward if you only use your HFS in the LAN though...

It is in my experience that the link should go, http ://-URL or IP-*:Port*-/Folder/Folder/
** only if server is not on port 80

When i type http ://-URL or IP-*:Port*-/Folder/Folder , HFS seems to redirect to the proper, http ://-URL or IP-*:Port*-/Folder/Folder/ ... I do not see your css problem :P

ok, sleep time for me. :)

Strange.. the browseable folder tree function was experiencing difficulties because there was no slash on the end of the URL (Error 3.01 - Moved Permanently -  and only in IE tho), when we added a slash to the end of the url, the problem was fixed.

heh, you are right - but redirect working only in HFS folders ,
not in my pages (i using HFS like web servers also - multi-functionality :) )
- in this pages (HFS folder + content + default file mask (index.html) ) "redirect" not working correct (completely not working) .

Try it :)

Sorry, I not tested this problem in folders - I forgot it :)

It shold be fixed in this unofficial build (until 2.2b is out)
