RAWR-Designs / Re: cant install theme on 2.4.0 RC 6
« on: April 12, 2021, 01:34:24 AM »
I no longer update these themes, as I no longer use HFS. You will need to rely on the forum to help you make them compatible with 2.4.

HFS ~ HTTP File Server / Re: Use CloudFlare to replace DynDNS
« on: May 28, 2015, 11:00:12 PM »
I just stop by every now and then. Richard is busy with his own things. Good memories here. Since full-time work, I don't even want to look at a computer outside work hours. This topic was relevant to HFS, and I did fire up HFS to test the connection.

HFS ~ HTTP File Server / Use CloudFlare to replace DynDNS
« on: May 28, 2015, 09:48:16 AM »
Something I was trying to do reminded me of HFS. I noticed some other discussion regarding DynDNS being a paid service now.

If you have registered a domain and have a Dynamic IP, you might like this CloudFlare solution.

I have written a blog post with some instructions.

Just bumping this thread to let you guys know that I am going to mirror the RAWR-Designs works on my own server (could use google drive or some other cloud service these days but w/e getting the hosting reminded me about this project).

Bear with us, life takes over and you forget about old projects like this :)

One day when I get a moment, I may come back with a new template for you to enjoy. Unfortunately I have other priorities, but I have made it one to get these links and website back online.

EDIT: Have added some temporary links to the latest builds in the releases thread.

Works just fine here...

RAWR-Designs / Re: Graphic EQ and Playlist in flash player.
« on: February 23, 2013, 07:58:28 AM »
The player never supported playlists, instead it fires a javascript call to open the next file/player - using the hfs list as a playlist. I was going to add playlist but now that flash is losing support I really can't be bothered. I only use it for single file projects and the existing setup in these templates.

RAWR-Designs / Re: Moving the navigation on top of Rawr Template
« on: February 23, 2013, 07:41:11 AM »
You would want to move the code that creates the breadcrumbs (it might be a HFS macro) and put it in the area that creates that bar. I would copy and paste the code, and see if it works. You will more than likely need to make a custom css class for it, to style it nicely.

Look for the image sprite for the top navigation. They are not individual files.

Once upon a time the Flash player worked everywhere. Times change :P still does a decent job though.

You can certainly have it change theme based on account, just use the username string and set the theme variable accordingly. It would be a manual setting per user or user group (if HFS does this), I doubt you can save a value permanently server side per user but I could be wrong. You will need learn a bit of HFS Macro to achieve it. I would make something that changes the value per username, and sets a default so it doesn't break the site when a guest arrives.

RAWR-Designs / Re: RAWR Template - Auto Refresh?

You'll need to be more specific. Probably just a matter of removing a javascript function from the html.

You might want to ask rejetto, because it works for me.

It is back up now, Richard has a new server. We might run it through cloudflare as well to help it and speed up international links.

Down again... will chase up Richard.

Might host on my work server if this keeps happening. With CloudFlare and some other upgrades to prevent it from happening again.

Time moves on, we lost interest but only because we are working on other things. The domain is cheap to register and Richards server has hosted it for a couple years without trouble. Apparently it died from dust and spiderwebs :P just wasn't a priority to get it back up quick.

The only possible new thing from us is a bug fixed TPGen, we noticed some things. We use that app for our day jobs and so do some colleagues. I felt the templates had peaked (Live in particular), when I lost interest. I have some ideas, and one that never got completed.

I noticed the website went down - would have been more helpful if people had messaged me personally... but anyway.

Sorry for the late response but I am active in other things these days. I am trying to get in contact with Richard but he doesn't communicate with me often anymore. He took the website and hosted it on his personal server, which is obviously offline now.

I do have all the versions of the templates etc here, and will make them available as soon as I can.

;)

EDIT: We do still own the domain it seems, but his server is down... I told him this might happen if he did that...

EDIT: I got in contact with him, his server needs repairing and it will be back by next week hopefully.
