HFS ~ HTTP File Server / multiupload
« on: April 16, 2004, 06:40:21 PM »
Another suggestion for unzip feature.

I think rejetto-s idea that there will be 3rd party programs
to do these things is good.

My suggestzion is that u don't have to chooose "extract me"
on upload but after uplading a file there would be a way to
unzip zipped files on the server (if u are the user who uploaded it)
A button or something.

I hope u understand me.

Sorry for my baad english.

HFS ~ HTTP File Server / Small drag&drop problem
« on: March 27, 2004, 06:40:49 PM »
I think the problem is something else because for
example if hfs is running and i drag&drop a file into it's
windows (for ex. this is a file éáéúõ.txt) it works fine.

Of if i add any file manually it works fine.

The "bad" thing only happens when i drag&drop a file
on it's icon which starts hfs.

HFS ~ HTTP File Server / Small drag&drop problem
« on: March 27, 2004, 04:00:47 PM »
Hi!

I use total commander so i added HFS into it's toolbar.

Now if a drag a file (hfs is not running) and drop it to
HSF's icon it starts HFS immidiately and shares the
file. This is great and i love this thing.

But my little problem is that is i drag&drop
this is a file.txt, in HFS it will show as
THISIS%7E1.TXT.
It works fine. I mean the file is reachable and downloadable
but this is not too nice filename.

What can i/u do about this?

Thanks,
TGeRi

ps: HFS ROXXX

HFS ~ HTTP File Server / download speed differences between OS...
« on: March 07, 2004, 09:33:20 PM »
Did u try to download via FTP? Download a free server and test the speeds.

As i know winxp uses some kind of control in the internetspeed
for default. Did u turned that off?

HFS ~ HTTP File Server / advise£ºAdd Upload function.
« on: February 09, 2004, 06:44:19 AM »
Hi!

First i want to tell u that i'm a true fan of
HFS. I love it.

But...

Many of my friends know very little in informatics
so i think i need a small app -like hfs- which gives
my friends a webpage where they can upload anything
to my pc.

I doesn't have to know anything else.

Does anyone know a program like this?

I hope u understand my problem and my waay too baad
english.

Bye,
TGeRi

PS: Sorry if this is not the right topic.

HFS ~ HTTP File Server / feature idea
« on: January 24, 2004, 12:54:01 PM »
Hi!

I wolud suggest a new featuer. I think lot of people use dinamic
domain services ( cjb.com, no-ip.com, etc).

I think it would be great if in HFS u could enabe an option
which will cause that if u choose COPY URL then it would
copy a predefined domain in the url.

I mean now it "makes" this:   http://111.222.121.121/file.ext
and u could choose to set an url and after that it would "make"
this: http://dinamic.no-ip.com/file.ext

I hope u understand my complicated and baad english.

I use netlimiter too.

I think it is the best program if u want to do this.

I just love it.

The newest version is 1.25.

HFS ~ HTTP File Server / another feature idea
« on: January 11, 2004, 10:47:54 AM »
Hi!

I have another feature idea.

I think u should make an option which is able
to hide the "images" download in the log dialog.

I mean this:
11:45:30  127.0.0.1:2341 Requested GET/
11:45:33  127.0.0.1:2341 Served 1673 bytes
11:45:33  127.0.0.1:2341 Requested GET/~img31

So i think this is not very important in the log file.

Oh, and another thing.

R u abel to add a line (can be optional) in the log when a file
is "served" and it is fully downloaded?
I mean i get:  ... server xxx bytes now ... but i don't know
wherther the user cancelled the download of a file or
he really finished downloading it. I always have to check
the files size somewhere else to know this.

Hope understand my english.

Hi!

Can u view the page from local host?

If yes then i think the problem will be the firewall.
Try to disable is FULLY for a short time.
