and yes i do find mp3's with really low frequency sound funny with my flash player... but who has mp3 in such low quality , bitrate doesn't matter.... but ye there might be 'drmed' songs that will not stream with flash... anyhoo going to set up a hfs for a friend, double router job with wireless connection... could be a long afternoon

no need for example anymore. i tested, no prob with mp3pro. as u said, low quality mp3 is the prob here. i have mp3 file with 56bit and 16000Hz play brokenly with flash. convert to 48bit 12kHz also failed, but 32 11025Hz plays ok. but the quality...

It just hit me with your example : instead of changing form  [template1/template2/ etc.] you could switch to different languages within the same form [Damn Template English / Damn Template Portugese/ Damn Template Italien / ... French... etc.]
Ever thought of this ?

The trouble is that using the ini route to change templates mean the change is global and experienced by all users.

8063's right. if u want to have language tools, u might want to try yahoo babelfish. i used it in my project site http://www.homehealthcare.co.nr/ but not sure how accurate it translate.

sorry if this is dumb question but i really donno abaout vnc. i want to ask, do we need to install vnc in computer that we use to access our computer remotely? if we need to install, it might not be a good choice if we use school/work computer. if not, i will try this soon. its free isn it?

if we can have admin tools in form like this, should be very good.
but can we have many2 more function like; control user account, managing vfs, upload/archive permission,

if possible also, i would be very apreciate if we can have a look at each connection (see ip) to the server as what should be listed in hfs gui, and then we can kick connection... etc. log section i dont think its important to have here.

try to have as many function as hfs provide, but for begining i think vfs and user management should be look into.

i can see this project going to be a great tools, and i will definitely be one of the fan, since i will be going far far away from my beloved pc not long left. really hope i can help something. good luck guys!!

its ok for me, i prefer flash player. however some mp3 file cannot play correctly using flash. is this because of that file actually is mp3pro? is there any way to allow flash player play it correctly like installing codec?

if u need example of that mp3 i will post back

i feel sory for live2, i love its mp3 stream but what to do.. life must go on..

I would say that it should include other limits aswell because if you only add a speed limit, eventually there will be someone wanting some other limit and it would be easier to do them all at the one time then at different times. If you understand what I mean and it will also make HFS alot more powerful.

im not talking about hiding folder, but hiding file extension "file.*". however, seems you solve ur thumbnail prob. for mp3, i just realize this. mms not working anymore for me. if im not mistaken, somebody post in this forum told that mms not supported anymore in wmp 11. i havent update to wmp11, now use 10. updated firefox to 2.0.0.6 but still use ie6. i think last month mp3stream still working but now not anymore. not only for this template, streaming code that i taken from terayon also fails. anyone know the reason why this fail?

about archive, you can put it as shortcut for easier. in the template code find this part

if u noticed, it still use image from photobucket. u can change the source if u want to call it locally. just leave it if u dont mind.
the downside of using this way is if u dont set the folder to be archivable, the link is still present but ur visitor will directed to access denied page. u can merge this way and [archive] way as TSG told.

i dont think we can set different limit for different folder, at the moment. however, we still can set ignore limit for created accounts. for me, setting limit based on user more suitable than based on directories. just my opinion

hmm.. looks like template editor itself having limit. rejetto might want to look at this. sorry, i use winxp, cant confirm your problem.

p/s- your templates very nice though, and fast. i might suggest u stick on this template unless u need the extra part like mp3player, thumbnail view.. and i love your avatar too, where did u get them.. hehe

hollywood, i dont understand why u having this problem. hfslive should be very easy to use, u dont need to bother about diff template.. or any other thing. the main different that i can say is this template give option to chose whether to load template files from your own server or online server by sokoolz and 3gon.

i just want to ask, do you use 'hide file extension in listing' option? i ask because i used this option in my mp3 folder, what happen is that, mp3 fails to play because it try to play "filename" instead of "filename.mp3". this might cause problem of mp3 and thumbnail.

for hfs status - access denied, i wonder how can that happen. can u try type http://yourhost:port/~progress see if you can access this page. the hfs status link should redirect you to this page. im afraid u have problem importing tpl file to html editor. whats os u use?

and last thing, just to make sure, please dont block javascript because this template really need it.. and that causing you say "Live 2 rocks!"

have u try copy & paste the code little by little? i know this shouldnt be the right way to do, but just to check where the problem lies in ur case. whether hfs couldnt stand too many character in template editor or the problem start during the "copy" process.
if u can paste let say half of template, then paste another half and the template are working, most probably problem during copying. not enough memory? or like markv said? i dont know..

put the favicon at vfs root. i think the favicon will not refresh on the spot. u need to hit Ctrl+F5 in opera for full refresh. ff and ie i dont know. ie might take 2 weeks before change the favicon..

you might need put this code as well in your template, under <head>
