Title: Testing build #237
Post by: rejetto on April 30, 2009, 10:47:25 AM
there was a ugly bug in #236, so lets ignore it

download @ www.dovedove.it/hfs/hfs237.exe

what's new
+ address masks support form 1.2.3.4/5 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CIDR#CIDR_blocks
+ Log menu -> Log what -> Deletions
+ apply button in file properties
+ {.delete|XXX|forced=1.}
+ {.save|XXX|var=YYY.}
+ {.section|XXX|back=YYY.}
+ {.breacrumbs|XXX|from=YYY.}
+ new template macros: cache, regexp
+ %item-type% in [file] [folder] [link]
+ breadcrumbs in search result
- event [start] was not working
- sometimes a white blank icon near "open in browser"
- could not delete folders over junctions [link] (http://www.rejetto.com/forum/?topic=6889)
- it was not possible to empty a [section] with diff templates
- {.set table.} was not working at first time for multilines values
- {.section.} didn't work in most event scripts

the properties TAB bug strikes again

the File Mask TAB is overlapping the Permissions TAB again.. just like before LOL

right click on a folder or file>select properties ... it shows up on both

what's new
+ %item-type% in [file] [folder] [link]

Why is %item-type% necessary when %item-name% has been used for years and outputs the same information for those sections?

Maverick
I just tested, they aren't the same here.
%item-type% returns file, folder or link as the case may be.
%item-name% returns the actual name of the file or folder?

Hello,

I am momentarily testing the new 237 beta.

There seems to be a problem with the password protection of folders.
Any newly added folder can be accessed from the outside without any passwords needed, although there are user accounts.
(wouldn´t it be better to block any newly added folder until I have granted permissions?)
Right-clicking on the folder and looking at the properties doesn´t show the access-tab.
Only when clicking on any other tab like "flags" and then going back to "permissions" it shows the "access-delete-upload" tabs.

Can anybody confirm that?

Thanks!

Dirk

if it's better or not, it's hard to tell.
you can freely open a "poll", asking people to vote what behavior they like most.
anyway, this is not related to this build, hfs always behaved this way, so this should be discussed in a different topic/thread.

yes, it will be fixed in next version

I found a bug in the original template, the "archive" will not work if you use the box "search", stores around the site. ???

Ho trovato un BUG nel Template originale, la funzione "archive" non funziona se si usa la casella "cerca", archivia tutto il sito. ???

Another bug that I detect in this release is the fact that sometimes seems to hang and HFS does not work when you install a template that automatically adds a folder to it, we must close the program and restart it to install the template, also the upload speed I think it has slowed. ???

to know if your problems are related to this build, you should try a previous build, and see if the problem disappears.

The problem of the template does not occur with an earlier version of HFS, creed, from posts I've seen that even the creators of RAWR have had the same problem.

Il problema del Template non si verifica con una precedente versione di HFS, credo, dai post che ho visto, che anche i creatori del RAWR abbiano avuto lo stesso problema.

i don't remember other posts reporting this same problem. :-\
anyway, it's good you tested the problem with a previous version. I need to know which version exactly.

This is the post for those of RAWR:

http://www.rejetto.com/forum/index.php?topic=6895.15

I think the problem is started from version 236 to 235 (if I remember correctly) did not have this problem.

Questo è il post di quelli di RAWR:

(link sopra)

Credo che il problema sia iniziato dalla versione 236, la 235 (se non ricordo male) non aveva questo problema.

you are right, but i had a closer look to TSG problem, by remote controlling his computer, and i didn't get that "feeling" of hfs being stuck as he reported.
it just was not actually installing the template. but, yes, your problems may be the same.
at the end, we didn't get to a solution, but after i restarted HFS, it started working flawlessly, mysteriously. :)
can you please test 235 and see if it has the problem or not? it would be of great help.
