Title: ip counter
Post by: Alons0 on February 24, 2007, 12:27:14 PM
Rejetto it will good if you do ip counter for hfs. I wanna be save by default and not dublicate ips(each ip to be logged only one time). I wanna this, because i wanna know how many ips use my site. Hfs displays the ips in the log, so you can try to make ip counter :)

well, the best way to get statistics is to enable the "apache log file format", and use a log anaylizer
http://www.snapfiles.com/Freeware/webpublish/fwlogalyzer.html

anyway, to count the number of IPs is not hard, but maybe we should collect 2-3 more things and show all together

Can you do this in the future?

Did it mean that 931 IPs have been entered in my site? Why host function in the tree didn't display the local ips but only real ips from other countries?

using 2.1 where do you enable "apache log file format" ?

I searched first and only found one match that said Log Menu > "Apache Log File Format"
In 2.1 I see no such Log menu.

Thank you

(Thank you for the program as well, I didn't feel like setting up apache/php/etc even though it's easy...I like this program and the streamline 1 package ease it offers. )

First, enable Expert mode.
Second, right click in log -> Log to file... Enter a file name here.
Third, right click in log -> Apache log file format... Specify the format here, example is given.

Done.

What will the symbol be for countering ips ever connected? And will it be possible to put the counter symbol in a folder (using diff template) and it to count the ips entered only in the folder?
