Title: Having trouble getting my file server online.
Post by: FlawlessApe on August 04, 2005, 12:18:26 AM
At the moment I've only been able to access it can only be accessed from LAN. My ip address is 68.14.152.110.  I've tried port forwarding my router and firewall, but no luck so far.  Though I'm not entirely sure this has to do with the program, I had a friend ping my computer and it wouldn't respond.

if u have the server still set to use port 80 and u have forwarded port 80 in ur router it will still not be accessible. this is becoz the router uses port 80 for its internal server so that u can configure it. u can either do what i did and set ur routers server to one other than 80 or u will have to try forwarding a differnt port.

No, i found out what it was.  My isp is blocking the port, any suggestions?  Are there any other ports that work with this?

it doesnt have to be port 80; it can be whatever port you want as long as u forward the port through ur router
