&RQ / problems with offline messages
« on: November 07, 2002, 01:22:05 AM »
From :

(quote start)

ICQ enables sending messages between ICQ users even if the recipient is offline at the time of sending. ICQ attempts to deliver the message when the recipient logs on.

However under certain circumstances messages sent to offline users may not be received. Such instances include:

1. When the recipient has reached the offline message quota.
2. If the recipient has not logged on to ICQ for a certain amount of time(usually 2 weeks).

&RQ / again?

Also, I guess that the problem I described is not related to &RQ, since many users of clients made by Mirabilis report the same cyrillic problems with ICQ2GO.

0 9 4 2 supports cyrillic ok; no problems at all.

the only problem with cyrillic in 0 9 4 2 occurs, when the chat recipient uses the ICQ2GO client; in plaintext messages from icq2go client, all characters arrive as "???????" question signs.  I don't know how do other &rq versions behave in this case.

Also, I know that ICQ2002a build 3728 doesn't have cyrillic problems with icq2go.

these are problems with, not related to &rq.

for more info, see this forum thread:

in the main &rq window, mouse double click in the empty area below the bottom of the contact list AND above the buttons (mainmenu/status/visibility) causes an AV.

these problems are not related to &rq.

icq-devel maillist participants report that there are problems with icq servers. engineers will probably fix this soon.

f.r.: (on mouse click OR on Enter key hit) on ---online users--- or ---offline users---, flip "show only online users" on/off.

well, i would prefer to never see tips, since i don't like any extra screen activity.  :read:  so i'd suggest an userpref to disable them :)

your english, i think, is rather ambiguous to understand correctly.  you could describe your behavior in a longer message, this might help us understand your problems.

> The plugin also seem to do nothing?

In my case:

It does everything when a new &rq update is available.  In all other situations, it does nothing, including a case when the [plugin prefs] button is pressed.
