hi guys, don't fear, i'm still alive.
it's just these days, i'm very busy.
choosing a new laptop is taking my several hours every day.
i'm just afraid/paranoid of making the wrong purchase for my needs.
it happens every time i have to buy a new tech-thing.  :-X
i'll let you know.

don't get paranoid ! Spend some hours more with your girlfriend! ;)

Even if you become sure to make the right decision now... within 2..4 mounths you probably will think you didn't.

Seeing the lifetime of laptops, my personal advice is: never spend mor than the half of the price of what you consider a really good laptop! This also avoids annoying warranty-problems: buy another cheap laptop instead of waiting months to get it fixed.
your computer has no brain - use your own !

At first i bought an Acer 6292: very powerful machine for being a 12", but i didn't tolerate the heat on the wrist rest area.
So i sold it after few days to a friend, and bought an HP-Compaq 2510p (second hand for 700€).
It's somewhat slow, but very portable and it sports an excellent keyboard.
Both machines can work on the net for 5 hours (my experience).
