i have no probe helping yo out here, posting the video of what your trying to do would be help full.
i'm familiar with hak 5
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pJYSqacCjjcso fist lets define
your original post - topic was:
------------------
I have a USB drive that i want to mount
so instead of Home ill see D:\ for example and when enter the ip i can upload and download files to the the USB
------------------
which is done via bind to root at that point anything on the drive path that was bind is now accessible via the IP
* I prefer seeing what is being shared in the hfs window as it is also for quick access to web links / file paths... for html coding stuff if needed latter...
Since the web server "/" is now d: thank to the bind
going to the interface ip will bring up what ever in in drive d:
so i don't understand what you mean when you post:
------------------------------------------
how can i see the whole USB drive
------------------------------------------
since that is accomplished via the bind and going to the interface adapter.
*you also wanted an upload folder... / ability to uplaod, it you right click root and enable anyone access with out adding and folder, just doing the "bind to path feature" ... then you have access to the whole drive and there should be a html option to on the webpage to upload a file...
so what "specific feature" are you looking for???
Form what i read int he post, i would recommend:
As you also said you are in a virtual machine, there may be a limitation on how you are sharing the network adapter...
if you want the host machine (the original machine running the virtual) you will need a "nat - shared adapter" that way in the virtual it is accessible outside the virtual machine.
also i would recommend everyone file access to the USB drive for easier write / read access and use for program compatibility...
Possible just the hfs bind to path with / upload permission defined...
*don't forget to save the VFS , as i assume you are making it portable
