If you don't want them to see files in Folder use a inverted file mask in Properties, File Masks
Files Filter \* or check no download in properties for them to be visable but secure.
Please note: There are some ISPs that are cheating at speed test sites, that means, for speed tests you get full speed, but a lot less otherwise. I know that Comcast is doing it, but I don't know what's with Road Runner...
Over at Filezilla's forums I've to deal with the same problems regularly - people complaining about the software 'cause the ISPs are throttling speed.
let us know if you make the ftp experiment
menu -> debug -> experimental high speed handling
is it enabled?
anyway, i asked my server (rejetto.com) to download a big file from you (being admin on the forum i can see your IP), and from your-ip/~progress i saw about 140KB/s.
i know sometimes HFS is not fast enough.
i don't know at the moment how to improve speed in such cases.
i don't even have such a fast internet connection to make tests.
Yes but it depends on alot of things... try setup a FTP-server and see what speed they get
Thanks for the suggestion. I'm not sure how to set up an FTP-server, which is one of the reasons I use HFS. How can I do that?
Try filezilla ftp server: http://filezilla-project.org/download.php?type=server

hi.
yes, that test attests (!) your right to get 200KB/s.
what HFS version are you using?
Yes but it depends on alot of things... try setup a FTP-server and see what speed they get
menu>limits>speed limit maybe?
My guess:QuoteI'm getting 100-150 kbps download speedsis in KB/s instead of Kb/s
So: 150KB/s = 1200Kb/s
And if your upload speed is 1635Kb/s
Then 1200Kb/s isn't too bad...
Hi, I have posted the desired info. Any thoughts on why I'm getting capped @ 185kb/c when the speed test shows that my maximum DL speed is significantly higher?Look at the test during the times more precise measurement units. There are kbps (kBit/s). In the final by kb/s. As you with your lying 185kB / s (1480kBit/s) even better than the test.
