I used HFS through the later 2.xx betas with no problems.
I made the change to ver 2.0 with no problems, untill
the last few days.
Now when I use my network address to browse HFS to
view file changes I get "page cannot be displayed" message
after login. Hitting refresh several times finally
opens the server and I am logged in. If I take ~login off of
the end of the network address in Internet Explorer address bar
and hit enter it will show the server page and I'm logged in.
I tried every possible solution I could think of. Re-booting
router, upgrading Internet Explorer, etc. Ran HFS on default
template, with no index, went back to 2beta37, shutdown all
unnecessary processes running, including virus and firewall,
still with the same problem.
I re-formated my C drive and did a clean install of all
my software from CD. Still have the problem.
When I turn off the option to list protected items only for
allowed users I can click on a protected folder, log in and
it works properly ever time. It doesn't work then when I use
the log in button. Occasionaly ~img27 fails to load in "loggedin".
No system problems. No problems with web sites or servers
I frequent.
Checking the forum, I find nothing clearly related.
Anyone have any ideas ? :(

No.
I haven't checked my HFS from another computer lately either.
Login fails from my computer at work, but I can access the "public"
or non passworded areas OK. From work I can't login, here I can
login but get the "page cannot be displayed" message

I'm 99 percent sure problem is solved !!
It was a anti-virus program causing it. Turning it off didn't
help, but un-installing did. It was furnished by my ISP.
Only problem left to work on is why I can't log on from
work. Its probably due to network security, but I can access
all other sites, bank, email, etc ??
Now I can get back to more fun things !! :D

I had used the firewall, which is ZoneAlarm, for some time.
Didn't use the anti-spam, anti-spyware.
Just recently started using the anti-virus. It was what was
causing the problem with HFS, and as time went by, with
other apps I'd never had a problem with before.
