Use gif format.  You can add frames and save the gif, upload gif while saving frames, etc.

I'm just showing off what HFS can do.  help420me.com is run offa apache on offsite hosting. h4m.dontexist.net runs HFS and everything that's on that domain is hosted by HFS.  h1m.dontexist.net is running abyss web server, but I want to configure another HFS to run at the same time.  If I can manage that, I'd be happy.

What I can't understand is why this thread has sucha hard time with the simple fact that I'm just trying to show what HFS can do... look at the template code.  That controls most everything on my site as a portal to all my content.  The tags processed internally by HFS are so versatile, I've barely started to scratch the surface of what HFS can really do.

Enjoy.

Bug reports / MD5 Checksum bug
« on: July 16, 2007, 04:09:46 AM »
I just switched a large folder with a lot of subfolders and files into a real-folder in the HFS interface.  The program started generating md5 checksum files named .md5.  The thing was, it started creating a new file for each new file, eg somefile.md5 had a file named somefile.md5.md5 created, and then somefile.md5.md5.md5, and then... well, you get the picture.

The fingerprints option shows disabled and I don't use md5 checksum files through HFS.  This obviously filled my directories with worthless 32KB files (my cluster size) until I turned off and shutdown the server.

Any new information I get I'll post as I get it. ???

edit:

I now believe this to be a bug or lack of errortrap in the md5 checksum generation code.  Disabling md5 checksum generation for files ending in .md5 would fix this immediately.

 ;D

edit:

WORKAROUND

The menu shows the function is Disabled, but there's a checkmark next to save new calculated fingerprints.  The filesize was set to 420.

I enabled fingerprints, cleared the checkmark, and reset the size to 0 to disable the function.

I searched for *.md5 on all my harddrives and deleted most of them, some i needed.

I'm back online now.

I posted the original post in the templates and websites section because i use many different templates in my websites.  Some are running on LAMP servers (linux, apache, mySQL, PHP) but my main site, http://h4m.dontexist.net is running HFS exclusively.

please download and look at my HFS template coding.  stop calling me a spammer.  stop saying what i'm doing is irrelivant to anything.  i've supported HFS and it's users for going on 4 years now with tech support, referrals, and cleaning up the wikis.  if you can't understand that i'm trying to show the capabilities of HFS by showing you the insides of my professionally created, maintained, and inudstry traversed websites, i can take my business elsewhere.

Abyss web server is excellent also, although HFS is my primary application.  If you're a LAMP/WAMP guy,  well... I'll just save those secrets for myself.

The websites are all hosted and served by me, the bouncers courtesy of my paid services at DynDNS, except Accurate Lenders which is my family owned Real-Estate Company on it's own privately hosted systems.  I still want to make a large donation to rejetto for his work and support of his excellent software.  I must say I don't feel welcome at all in these forums and for that, I'm deeply grieved.

linked is the code to the 2 separate templates and an online offsite version of the VFS.  this is in no way the default template.  where else better to put up an HFS template than posting it to this section and letting you pick apart my code??

template1
template2 ( required for freeplay )
VFS
site

I'm currently working on an offsite hosted archive for remote serving through an HFS proxy.
For more info, please visit http://help420me.stumbleupon.com/favorites/

All this is done using a single copy of HFS and a network of hops.  Enjoy :P

my #1 downloaded file is http://help420me.kicks-ass.net
I invite you all to check it out.  I'm currently running 2 HFSs, 2 offsite hosts, a dns registration, and 3 registered domains to make this whole thing work.  I recently lost a pc and am working to get the data off the drive and incorporate this new content that i -=just-= finished into it.

index.html is your friend...

rejetto-crafted software / Re: HSG 0.4 - New Features
« on: October 09, 2006, 07:53:58 AM »
I've tried using other programs to force it into the tray, but it's really complicated cuz those progs suck.  Have to play with dlls and too much wmi and api tooling.  A system tray function would be awesome.  Also, HSG makes the taskbar stay exposed when it's on auto-hide during a serve request, never let's go of focus.  Adding PNG in addition to jpg support would be good, only cuz not everyone can support png by default.

I've been doing this for awhile with HFS.  I made an M3U playlist that looks just like this:

http://tinyurl.com/j944y
http://tinyurl.com/j3lj7
http://tinyurl.com/klnkh
http://tinyurl.com/j79v3
http://tinyurl.com/ffw8v
http://tinyurl.com/e8sa9
http://tinyurl.com/z9wes
http://tinyurl.com/zh95k
http://tinyurl.com/kqvl3
http://tinyurl.com/kgxzf
http://tinyurl.com/e7v7a
http://tinyurl.com/ke6ch
http://tinyurl.com/zsm9o
http://tinyurl.com/zwalk
http://tinyurl.com/ztn67
http://tinyurl.com/gvp2r

and host the file on my HFS site.  User clicks the link, downloads the playlist, media player fires up, and starts getting the music from the hosts.  Nothin simpler.  I actually use the .pls format for my media player (XMPlay), but the formatting is exactly the same.  A link to some formats for reference.  I dunno if the first post was actually talking about streaming the actual MP3s using HFS, but I know my upload bandwidth sucks for sucha thing, especially with more than a few users.  I use offsite hosting and only host the smallest of files for the site with HFS, but still give directory access to the files I wanna share.
