Title: a tiny tiny but often frustrating problem..
Post by: KalleB on July 09, 2007, 10:24:13 PM
Selecting all text in any HFS textbox or editbox by pressing Ctrl+A does not work. That combination is kind of a standard in every program out there, but somehow HFS does not understand it...  :(

Do you mean in the template editor? Cause i have found you cant Ctrl+A in there, You have to Right Click > Select All.... doesn't the underline on A mean you can Ctrl+A it? I also Find it annoying you cannot use Ctrl+S in there.

Just tested those hot keys... Why did you make them select all? In all computer systems its Ctrl+A *well on mac its Apple+A but meh*.

no, you can press A after you right click. just that.

it's ALT+A (apply, you see the underlined A)

I don't fully understand what you are talking about... but what I ment with this post is to ask how come HFS does not have this Ctrl+A as "Select all" hotkey like almost every program out there has?

I've naturally tried to use it in template editor and comments many many times. I only now found out that there is "Select all" when you click with right mouse button...Good, but Ctrl+A (like Ctrl+S for saving) is something that comes naturally for me when ever I need to select everything somewhere...

just because it's not "by default" and none asked for it till now.

so. you want it in the template editor and in comments?

It works well :) lol much easier to edit templates now. I updated the wiki template gallery because it was so easy now.
