Hello Rejetto,
i do not know why, but since last versions the grey colour (showing the progress) behind that percentage-number is getting darker and darker so that i have difficulties to read how many % of a file have been sent or received. Would it be possible to make it lighter? I have no idea how to make it lighter here in my Windows2000-settings.
-
hi yves, can you tell me the versions where you had the right color, and the version you are using with "bad" color?
-
Yes, Rejetto, have been all versions after that 067. Actually i use the build 071. Besides of that "too dark grey": super program ! :)
-
here are all HFS builds from 067 to 071.
can you try them and thell me in which build was your problem introduced?

Hello Rejetto,
i tried them all, and those after build 071 too. For my personal taste the grey colour (showing the progress) behind that percentage-number is too dark so that i have difficulties to read how many % of a file have been sent or received. Would it be possible to make it lighter? I have no idea how to make it lighter here in my Windows2000-settings.
Would be nice too if grey would be replaced by a light blue or light yellow.

please answer
1. ALL those version have the problem?
2. do you think before 071 the color was different?
-
Yes, Rejetto, for my special taste all mentioned versions have this problem for me. I think before build 067 is has been easier for me to read the number of percentage. I just think that the present grey colour behind the number is too dark, i think it's actually around grey-50%. For my personal taste a saturation of around 25% for grey would be better and the number of percentage would be better readable.

The right answers are: 22% - 43% - 54% - 72% - 88% ;)
The index "%" behind the number of percentage could also miss, as it is written above.
-
rejetto, that's in the HFS gui. It's been that way for a very long time and wasn't introduced recently. I see the same behavior.
-
yes, i think these colors are used since long time, but it's ok to consider it hard to read.
In next build i will use Gray 25% as suggested.
For more flexibility i will blend 25% between window background an window text, so that it should be readable also with customized windows colors.
-
Yes, Rejetto this would be great, thank you :)
Another solution could be to make the digits changing from dark to light when the background changes from light to dark, like in Opera international version 9.010:

i don't know how to do that in Delphi :(
-
Rejetto, i don't know that neither. But your intended solution above is as great as well. :) And 100% sufficiant.

see new build 081
-
Yes, NOW i can see the percentage-numbers clearly!
