To be honest, I don't know exactly what he was trying to say...
I guess the VFS is cached in memory anyway, and so are the file links (if not, it would be a good idea). Talking about confusion... :crazy: :drunk: :bigeyes:

Well, I check it up... They DO store files on their OWN cache servers!!!
So for every file that you give a <your URL>.nyud.net:8090/<path> - the first call is slow, using YOUR upload bandwidth, the later downloads are from THEIR server... interesting... :!:  :idea:  

Try specifying a Menu->IP->custom IP:
<your IP/URL>.nyud.net:8090   + F9 .
Download a file - twice. see the difference... try closing the server and download it once more...  
The problem is  - that it is NOT so nice URL for others to use ...

So HFS should simply have an option to automatically append a specified string like ".nyud.net:8090/" to every link in the html pages generated? Sounds interesting... That option could be used also for other URL manipulations, maybe upcoming similar services. Should ask rejetto if it's possible, either in the program itself or in the HTML template.

Another way would be to create a "subfolder.zip" file which contains all files found in that subfolder.
When I add and delete files to the folder, I just refresh the .zip file. Works for me...

Yeah, it means more work but those who use my service don't need to get and use another program either...

Pain in the but again. I got the directory listing sorted it seems to be taking a while to actually add them. Like I said there are a huge amount of folders. But now whenever I use a download manager such as dap or mpdap the whole dl crashes. I have set the user limit per download, which is quite funny as soon as I start a second dl it tells me "server overloaded try again later" which I thought was quite funny....
Back to the point... must I set the download speed in order to be able to use a dl accelerator? Thanx for the help and sorry for my slow replies - I'm running around like a mad cow... mooooooo.....

Hi all, I am using the latrest version and found i can host an html page as someone mention earler.
I would like to know how i can have it host my html page and have tab a to the default page of HFS, well i dont know what HTML code i can place in the HTML to the Tab to the default page.
