Tested second time with the same setup:

16:10:08 10.100.4.47:2491 Disconnected by server: inactivity

HFS received the first one and got stuck on the third (skipped second) file. Then after a minute it uploaded all three again successfully...but this time no OK notifications..only white screen in Firefox.

Edit: Out of curiosity, I also tested with small (>1kB) binary files and got about the same results as so far with text files.

Edit2: Same thing with a bit bigger (~10kB) files...

Edit3: Big (~1MB) files still upload is a split second without any problems:

Um, I have WinXP SP2 with all the latest updates..on both my machines ..never have had Win2k.

The uploading got stuck "receiving" on the third file again...it was there for a minute and then all of a sudden uploaded all three files again and showed the OK notifications. So now I had those uploded files duplicated:

Yes...I believe we can expect to see this "bug" fixed in next build, right rejetto? :)

F.A.Q.s / Re: A way to display *.mp3 tags
« on: July 05, 2007, 05:25:54 PM »
Suggestion for rejetto:

If "mp3ToIon.exe" is present in the same directory as HFS.exe, use it to automatically generate descript.ion files for folders that contain mp3 or other supported files.

Bug reports / Upload broken with small files
« on: July 05, 2007, 08:37:40 AM »
The problem persists here on other PC with HFS B111 with default settings and firefox..

Uploading small txt-files randomly gets stuck at 99% or "receiving". Only difference is that in this machine the files upload completely when "Uploading small_test_file_X.txt" appears...does not seem to need that "Fully uploaded" notification.

I'm for that too.. Better to have one subgroup less..

Here's something I quickly compiled ...needs a bit more thinking though.

I think it would be more than logical to work like that...

Bug reports / folder.tar not updating Hits
« on: July 04, 2007, 08:00:47 PM »
When I download the folder.tar archive of a folder, the Hits of the files in that folder are not updated.
You'd think that downloading a full folder would add +1 to the Hits of each file in that folder?

HFS ~ HTTP File Server / Re: Graph Image Idea
« on: July 04, 2007, 04:25:34 PM »
I once again agree with TSG.. It would be also nice to be able to customize the graph a little bit.. To set what information it includes (Top speed, Limit, Number of connections, Total up/down...), the colors of the different components in it for example.

I've set the graph to be displayed on my VFS root folder since it shows quite essential info about the server..

HFS ~ HTTP File Server / Re: changing port
« on: July 04, 2007, 04:15:58 PM »
I agree.. Perhaps it would be best to make it change only when Enter is pressed. But this requires an message to be displayed when the Editbox is clicked..for example: "Type in the port you want HFS to operate on and press Enter to confirm." ..that wouldn't change the current situation much since there is now the message saying that the HFS has to be turned off to change the port. This would still eliminate the ON-OFF switching procedure though.

HFS ~ HTTP File Server / Re: changing port
« on: July 04, 2007, 03:58:28 PM »
Editbox.OnChange event with timer I'd say. So if user does not change the value again in 3-5 seconds the port is changed. Pressing Enter would naturally change it immediately.

I'd say that "netstat -o" is it.. :)

This is my log when I try to upload 3 small txt files for the first time:
Code: [Select]
1:13:09 127.0.0.1:1945 Uploading small_test_file_1.txt
1:13:10 127.0.0.1:1945 Fully uploaded -  1,16 KB @ 37 KB/s
1:13:10 127.0.0.1:1945 Uploading small_test_file_2.txt

And this is what I experience:
Code: [Select]
- First file uploads is a sec
- Second file uploads until 99% and gets stuck there
- Stuck there for about a minute, then disappear
- Opera displays error that the page is not available

When I try second time after this I get this log:
Code: [Select]
1:19:26 127.0.0.1:2062 Uploading small_test_file_1.txt
1:19:26 127.0.0.1:2062 Fully uploaded -  1,16 KB @ 74 KB/s
1:19:26 127.0.0.1:2062 Uploading small_test_file_2.txt
1:19:26 127.0.0.1:2062 Fully uploaded -  647 B @ 20 KB/s
1:19:26 127.0.0.1:2062 Uploading small_test_file_3.txt

And this is what I experience:
Code: [Select]
- First file uploads is a sec
- Second file uploads is a sec
- At connections I see "receiving" for the third file but no percentage bar
- Stuck there for about a minute, then disappear
- Opera displays error that the page is not available

Third time is even more funnier:
Code: [Select]
1:21:42 127.0.0.1:2100 Uploading small_test_file_1.txt
1:21:42 127.0.0.1:2100 Fully uploaded -  1,16 KB @ 74 KB/s
1:21:42 127.0.0.1:2100 Uploading small_test_file_2.txt

And this is what I experience:
Code: [Select]
- First file uploads is a sec
- Second file is somehow skipped (!)
- Third file uploads until 99% and gets stuck there (!!!)
- Stuck there for about a minute, then disappear
- Opera displays error that the page is not available

Fourth time exactly the same as third, but I don't want to wait the minute so I cancel upload and try fifth time: All files SUCCEED!

Code: [Select]
1:23:48 127.0.0.1:2152 Uploading small_test_file_1.txt
1:23:48 127.0.0.1:2152 Fully uploaded -  1,16 KB @ 79 KB/s
1:23:48 127.0.0.1:2152 Uploading small_test_file_2.txt
1:23:48 127.0.0.1:2152 Fully uploaded -  647 B @ 40 KB/s
1:23:48 127.0.0.1:2152 Uploading small_test_file_3.txt
1:23:48 127.0.0.1:2152 Fully uploaded -  2,25 KB @ 153 KB/s
1:23:48 127.0.0.1:2152 Requested POST /folder/

Weird thing I'd say...Tomorrow I'll test on other machine and browser.

Here's an image what my upload folder looks like after all this:

HFS ~ HTTP File Server / Re: changing port
« on: July 03, 2007, 04:41:52 PM »
ok. can you suggest a detailed procedure to do the same thing, but easier?

Perhaps I'm not fully understanding the logic of the current situation..

But this is what I think:

The port editbox would be editable all the time. Changing port would not require user to set HFS off first. The ON-OFF button and the port editbox would not have any connection between them...two separate functions.

All this is actually quite irrelevant, but this "switching off before port change" is just something I don't fully understand... I mean if HFS for some reason has to be shut down before changing port, why wouldn't it shut itself automatically...
