hi guys, i about to start a project to help all of us to test and try the hfs and templates, and some mods on the templates too, i know that some of those that are in here are testing every version of the hfs, and i think that would be nice if we could do a huge hfs test network using the hamachi, if someone(maybe me...) create a network called hfs and with the name and password posted on this forum  we could join in a test network, what about the idea?

under MENU
--> "vitual file system"
--> "adding folder"
--> when i select an option, there's no V

i have hfs 2.1 beta1

de function   files.lst

creates this list:

as you can see?  ist not complete, i miss a part.....

right click -> folders filter -> "\album"

the \ inverts the logic

OOOOO, cool, didn't know that, maybe i overlook this in the manual

I would imagine something like this scenario:

1. Admin of HFS decides to put server in maintenance mode (take offline in XX minutes).

2. When Admin selects maintenance mode, HFS rejects new connections (maybe error code 403 Forbidden or 503 Service temporarily unavailable). Existing connections stay untouched for XX minutes.

3.a)every connection disconnected within timeout - in this case HFS switches to OFF mode

3.b)XX minutes timeout reached - HFS kicks existing connections and switches to OFF mode


Maybe you could put in a variable for use in the template that shows time left before users' connections get kicked. Admin should also be able to set XX minutes timeout to Zero, meaning no timeout, just wait until the last user/guest disconnected.

Right click on the folder named "album" and select hide.

i know that option..
but those albumfolder resides in real the folder...

in HFS:
Wallpapers
m:\backup\wallpapers
and then folders with "landscape" , "cars" and so on....

and in these wallpapers-folders are album-folders
they are read, when you browse with HFS...

well lets say i have 100+  wallpapers-folders and ofcource 100+ album-folders

hope its clear now...

I have to admit, the Edit template menu is somewhat hidden and deserves a place on the main bar.

yes would also like a better place for that ...

make some proposal about this

well i think just below the menu, before other options,
or next to on/off as button....
or in the notification area(tray icon)

atleast its faster then, i hope

well...  there is a problem.
you set such message; after 4 minutes a user comes and read "5 minutes"; after a minute the server is down.
what do you think about it?

yes thats true, but a message is better (i think :?: ) ,
then to suddendly stop the service  :?

i always want the users, know whats going on (not always)...

i was wandering how to hide a folder...
yes i know, there is a funktion for that,
but i have alot of folders, and in these folders i want to hide a folder named "album" ....
tried the folder mask, but didnt help....
